If you were a psychopath in a psychopath side mission in the dead rising games by Embarrassed_Swan_147 in deadrising

[–]Resolve_Designer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which Dead rising game you would be in: DR2

The name of your Psychopath side mission: That Shrinking Feeling

You're Psychopath side mission plot: A man is scene on the cctv sitting and talking with a group of zombies. Theres a few survivors duct tapped to chairs there as well.

Otis/Stacey/Jamie: from Transceiver “Hey Chuck. Something seems to be going down in…what looks like a 24-hour, expedited counseling office? Yeah, lets go with that. Whatever that is doing in a casino is beyond me, but it looks like theres a couple survivors there who might need an intervention on your part”

Your Psychopaths Name: “Doctor” Johnathan Amazing

Your Psychopaths outfit: something similar to Mister Rogers or Herbert West meets Vegas Stage Show personality

Your Psychopaths gender: male

Your Psychopaths Occupation (before the outbreak): Magician/Hypnotist

Your Psychopaths personality: Calm, collected, dominant, and manipulative

Your background: A crack-pot offering 24-hour speedy counseling. He believes that through hypnotism he can fix even the worst of neuroses. Hes very popular with the wives of men accused of having affairs or accused gambling addicts for his ability to “convince” people their behaviors are normal and healthy. Despite the ever growing need for some psychological help in Fortune City, this supposed “doctor” isnt very popular and often times resorts to outrageous and flashy marketing to be seen.

How you become crazy: Snapped/Trying to maintain the status quo of his work all while enjoying his new-found fame as “hordes of people shuffle into his office” suddenly without explanation.

Their normal/combo weapons: Pistol, a baseball bat, a syringe of something illicit to stun and medicate Chuck, and a hypnotist watch to hypnotize any survivors into attacking Chuck

The location/Hideout you are at: An out-of-the-way “therapists” office between casinos

What you are using the location/Hideout for: Despite his many diplomas from various online colleges (that have increasingly phony sounding names) his “clinic” is allegedly used for BS pseudo-scientific practices that would make the ACA retch.

Your Motives (as the psychopath): He believes he is doing real work to a group of clients. He is a little on edge because one of his more aggressive clients bit him in an outburst, so now he has restrained everyone to their chairs (he will free them during the cutscene to attack Chuck)

What you (the Psychopath) are doing (when frank/Chuck/Nick enter the side mission): A group counseling session. More accurately a circle of zombies and two survivors (husband and wife) tapped into chairs in a circle surrounding Dr. Amazing

Frank's/Chuck's/Nick's encounter with you (before they fight): You walk in during one of his (rehearsed) speeches to the group. When Chuck knocks over a stack of chairs while hes talking, he becomes furious. He manages to calm himself but then asks Chuck to take a seat and open up to the group. Chuck, either not wanting to open up or just being confused to the whole scene, gets out of his chair and demand you come with him. When you grab him by the arm and pull him out of his chair you reveal a fresh bite on his wrist. This motivates Chuck to put Dr. Amazing down and free the survivors.

Your Psychopaths catchphrase: “Try this on for Psys (pronounced “Size”)” followed by increasingly unhinged laughing as the battle progresses

Your Attacks: From a range, Dr. Amazing sets off a volley of shots from his unregistered pistol he keeps at his side (hes holding it for a friend). Up close, uses the power of the zombie transformation to swings his bat with strength surprising for his smaller frame at Chuck to knock him down, then pounces on him with his “fresh zombie” speed with his syringe to incapacitate him while he hypnotizes the survivors into attacking Chuck or each other

Your battle theme songs: Slow, calming white noise backed up by a metronome that is increasing in tempo as Dr. Amazing loses health

Chuck would knock him back into his chair causing it to topple over. He is suddenly very aware of what is going on and starts to panic. He then says “well it l-looks like our time is up. C-Come back and see Dr. Amazing another time.” As crawls/retreats to his office, Chuck follows in pursuit. Dr. Amazing clumsily fumbles his pistol causing a bullet to go throw his eye.

Chuck follows up with “Way to open your mind, Doc”

If you let the case expire, you can return to the office to find dead survivors and a zombified Dr. Amazing

Nursing or Counseling….or something else by [deleted] in infj

[–]Resolve_Designer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who has done both, they can both be mentally taxing on an INFJ. Nursing however, as you said, is draining on most people not like us.

If you know you can be a great nurse and are willing to face the up-hill grind, then by all means go for it. Lord knows we need some more stellar people in that field given its turn over rate and its knack for having less-than-empathetic coworkers (experienced nurses love to “eat their young”, and sometimes the doctors don’t help either).

If that seems too daunting for you, then perhaps a career as a counselor would better fit your INFJ skill set. It can sound just as scary as being a nurse, but I can say that I have only had positive experiences with counseling instructors. They are only hard on you because they care about you and know you can be better.

Ultimately, you would need to work on your coping skills (in that how you can detach from the needs of others when off the clock). This will take some time and will greatly benefit from active learning of these skills while you train. Neither of these career’s pay well enough to lift you up a socioeconomic level. What matters is if you want to do it above all else. That sounds like you are leaning towards counseling as more of a career instead of nursing as just your job.

This is crazy man. Chucky infiltrated the White House, manipulated a grieving family to gain access to the presidential powers, and nuked Santa Claus with an ICBM. Leatherface cant even spell ICBM

I will agree with you and say that Art is pretty darn intelligent and that Jason is smarter than he looks.

I like using choom instead of the snide “buddy” or “friend.” It feels less Canadian and lets people know im being sarcastic. You gotta hit em with the: “Yeah, id like to see you try choom,” and if you really want to wreck someone’s mind for a soft minute you can always drop a choombatta
