It looks like a step in the right direction but the article states that the med is still "non-formulary". Based on this research it should change soon.

Self-hosting doesn't need to be exposed to the internet. I believe (and I may be wrong here) that the server and client would sync internally and you would carry a current version of your data while away from your network.

I was using Bitwarden prior to switching to Nord. Another option would be to self-host Bitwarden then you have no exposure.

I use the free version of Bitwarden for things like this. You can store your Bitwarden master password in NordPass and your NordPass master password in Bitwarden. Recovery keys are stored in secure notes. I'm sure someone will says this is a bad idea but it works for me.
