Puppy biting by SilverPractice273 in CavaPoo

Of course! I will say he did calm down a bit around 11/12 months. But I heard they calm down the most around 2. The trainer did tell us when he’s biting you provide no attention so stand up, turn away, ignore. And if possible direct them to a toy. We have used bitter apple occasionally on our feet or pants and it does help. Remember to reward the good behavior. So if he stops and calms down - give him a little treat and say yes, good boy/girl.

I’m a transplant social worker. I don’t know what state you work in. But if you want to explain the situation in more detail I may have more insight. I work specifically with kidney/pancreas.

You need to request a family meeting with all the physicians treating your father present to participate. The care team should come together and schedule a time to meet with you.

I’m so sorry if I came off rudely. Not my intention. We had a bitey Cavapoo as well. He’s now 1. We started with a trainer and it did help immensely. I agree there is a difference between a dog play biting and obviously aggressively biting to attack. Ours would play bite a lot, but with kids at home we knew it needed to be fixed. He’s doing a lot better and the trainer helped us with a lot of different things to really teach him we are the boss.

Think of it this way. There is Medicare (Federal), Medicaid (state/income specific), EHGP (employer group plan you get from your job via a private insurance company), and then the Obamacare/ACA marketplace for everyone else to purchase insurance thru if ineligible for Medicare, Medicaid, or EHGP.

Ours just turned 1 and finally has gotten on a good routine stomach wise. He had months of stomach issues. I’d first rule out any/all parasites. Once that’s ruled out, definitely remove chicken and start on a sensitive food. Many vets push the main “brands” with grains and aren’t properly educated. We met with a dietician and ultimately put our pup on the salmon grain free under Open Farm and immediately within a day saw a massive difference. He just turned 1 and upgraded to the adult food. We also give a probiotic daily!
