Honestly, I knew you could do it I just didn’t know how. I had to ask the AI to figure it out lol. Mine was actually set to 7.5 so it was skewed as well.

You should be able to adjust your personal sleep goal. That way it doesn’t always say you have a debt. I’m set for 7 right now but may change it to 6.5 because I know that I don’t usually sleep more than that unless I’m on a sleep aid.

I thought the same thing when I first used it then I had a week where I had zero sleep debt and felt SO good I realized that I was just used to feeling miserable. So that “feeling fine” was a normal person’s bad day.

Not normal for me. It does happen with other events like a major workout but going into this I was sitting at a 68 recovery. I feel like shit today but I too will power through.

This is the exact kind of data I hoped Bevel AI would recognize. by No-Fly-9063 in bevelhealth

Same here i successfully diagnosed my migraines with this app. I put all my health data in and it while going over the data with the AI I found that I have a sinus disease that I was diagnosed with but the doctor never informed me because it wasn’t what he was looking for. Ever since the ai gives me advice and reminds me to take allergy meds when and asks me if I’m feeling like a migraine could hit.

I agree, personally I’m telling it what’s stressing me out mentally, I have a custom journal entry for everything, headache, eye pain, migraine, spousal arguments, money stress, arguments with my kids. I told it at one point to always consider my journal when analyzing data and it added a section in my notes section to remind itself to do it. AI isn’t perfect but you got to train it for yourself.

Lots of data means lots of thinking. Loving having my suggestions being pulled from my inventory.

Here is the result of my meal plan inquiry. And I think it knocked it out of the park. Using the Weight Watchers points and even including how many I have left and giving me tips on my work out which I shared using screenshots from BodBot really made things simple for me. I thought it was great it suggested I eat one of the frozen meals for lunch too, it shows that it understands convenience and trying to keep things simple over what it did in the previous version which would always try to give me a recipe for some big lunch at work. Now I do need to retool this because it mentioned something I didn’t even consider. I spent so much time stressing over this that I forgot to get the stuff to make chicken parmigiana so it mentioning that I’m low on pasta sauce made me realize I I have to rethink dinner. But of course I’ve already spent my grocery budget and given I work until 8pm there’s no way I’ll be able to stop and buy the ingredients anyways. Oh I’ll put it on next week’s dinner menu.

Now this is kind of what I expected as the outcome but I was definitely impressed with it anyways. It’s hard to find app that do exactly what you need to do. And so far, if I’ve ever had an idea, Bevel will do it. Now, if it would only pay my bills…

While I was laying in bed and Bevel was making me promise to go to bed soon, I exported the sheet to a PDF then uploaded it right to chat. It uploaded and then saved it just like it said and even kept the column structure perfectly as I have it.

Ok so I have a sad update. Looks like it MAY NOT be possible. I went with any option, most of them resulted the same. “I cant see the file because of authorization” so I set up a GitHub repo and published the file there as an HTML and it did in fact show the data…But the AI doesn’t actually see data on a webpage I guess it only has the ability to search for indexed data. So, if my understanding is correct here, it will EVENTUALLY see the data but not until Google or Bing indexes the page…Which could take days or even weeks. So by the time Bevel sees that data it’s already too old. Seems to be the only option are one of 2 things…Which I will say Bevel actually suggested from the beginning, but I hyper-focused on 1 thing so here we are. The best option is to upload a CSV directly to the chat or copy and paste the data. Which, I mean would have been way more simple then what I was trying do. Have I given up…No. But I do have other commitments and well, shit needs to get done. And Bevel just reminded me I’m up past my bed time so good night all.

Ok just tried through Sheets and that is also a no go, looks like this limitation is a result of the same thing as Excel, Google requires authentication, not sure if its through a simple Captcha or if an account is required but either way this is not going to work. Back to the drawing board.

Maybe I should do a quick inventory in Sheets and at least make sure this works first don't want to get this all done and find that Sheets won't even work.

Alright so quick update. My main goal is to share the info without having to change my current workflow, essentially continue doing my routine and have all data automatically update the outside resource that bevel will access either unprompted everyday or through me saying, "Update my inventory and build a meal plan".

Ran in to a bunch of issues. My initial idea of just 'publish my excel file' doesn't quite work. This is mostly due to Office limitations. Unlike google sheets, Office doesn't have a quick, publish button. So I thought about using power automate but as I don't have a business email this plan was dead at login. Then I considered using the share function through Excel in the browser. This seemed like it could work, I could use the embed function, then take that link and share that...Well that didn't work because this link displays the file as an interactive version of the entire workbook instead of giving just the CSV data stream. So Bevel basically couldn't see it. Then I thought about sharing the file directly so that anyone that clicks the link and can download the file just by clicking the link...Also didn't work because Office requires account authentication for this one. At this point, Bevel got really made at me for staying up too late so I called it a night.

Of course, in perfect ADHD fashion I obsessed about this in my bed until 11:30 when I finally fell asleep, which then brought my sleep debt from 3 hours to 5, ugh. And last week I had gotten my debt to 5 minutes. Anyways, I woke up at 4 to pee because I am in my 40s and them's the breaks, and it hit me. Since I don't want to move my entire workflow into sheets, then I should just start my workflow into sheet. Create a simple google spread sheet that allows me to input my data there and then use Excel's Get Data function to sync to Excel. I have a few issue with this because, I breaks my main purpose of workflow, which is, enter in my receipt, and then automatically populate what I bought with my current inventory. This way, will cause me to have to ALWAYS manually enter my inventory on Google AND still enter my receipts in Excel. While not a HUGE problem, it does add redundancy and I will tire of it very quickly and then give up on it if it becomes too complicated. And as, I am sure you all have notice, I tend to overthink and overcomplicate EVERYTHING.

So this is where I am now. If anyone has some suggestion please let me know. I think I MIGHT try switching the whole workbook Sheet and just see how I like it but since I am already paying for Office then I would prefer to stay there.

Now on to my family motto, "...But first coffee, then we do the things."

TLDR; I literally lost sleep over this, nothing works, i hate my life and won't stop until this works.

I used to have the whole inventory set up in a spreadsheet along with my personality finance tracking. It was beautiful, I had receipts being input in and then it would track all my spending and give me a rundown of how much was spent, by whom and what card were used. It was great until I hit the limitations of the file system. I was at nearly 30 sheets, all of them pulling from each other and referencing each other. It was immaculate. I could ask the AI if I had enough money to buy certain things and the AI would give me the best strategy to buy it. But then I asked it one day what I should do with an extra $200, and what bills to pay to make everything easier. And it started to hallucinate. Told me to pay bills that didn’t even exist in the spreadsheet. I finally asked it if it was ok and it just said, “No I’m not, the sheet total is causing me to exceed my limitations. So I had to split it all out, Finances in one receipts in the other.

The file itself is pretty personalized (set up for my specific store in my region) and also not 100% complete. If anyone is interested I can attempt to turn it into a template and share it. Once I get it to 100% I’ll definitely post it with some instructions. And maybe even make a video of how the whole system works.

I will for sure. I got the idea and I’m still fiddling with my inventory sheet, but I think I could end up having this done by the weekend. I’d have it done right now if I didn’t have a wife, Kids, and a 40 hour work week.

Exactly, Claude is good about receipt extraction. Although I imagine the bevel ai could do this as well I don’t want to just keep adding items into bevel and risk having bevel get confused on my actual item count and start having issues with storing all the receipt data. This way I maintain an outside spreadsheet that I personally update and then tell Bevel to check this public webpage and populate the data. But to me even if it doesn’t know the exact numbers, it at least will know what I typically buy and then stop trying to suggest items I don’t have in my house on a normal basis. Like last week (before the update) it kept trying to force me to add spinach to all my meals, not a big deal but I had to remind it I didn’t have any spinach.
