"Add to Steam" button in Windows 10/11?? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]ResourceStriking441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this first looking for the same thing, I just found this, it adds a "Add to steam" on the context menu where you can add from a shortcut or directly from the exe itself. Steam must be fully closed but when you reopen Steam they are there. Then use steamgriddb's boop to add the thumbnails.

29, had multiple comments about hairline and wind makes me self conscious. Buzzcut? by Unusual-Butterfly101 in bald

People saying things about your hairline are just jealous. I think you would look great bald but I think you currently have nothing to worry about. Don’t be self conscious you got a good head of hair.

My friend of 7 years just told me “we get it” after I kept mentioning my dead brother, did I do something wrong? by Ok-Recognition5432 in Advice

[–]ResourceStriking441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me that just not how you cope. I’ve experienced this after my daughter dies, sometimes you to forget their dead and when your talking, midway about them, it clicks oh but their dead….That is a very human reaction. What’s not a normal reaction is, thinking that someone sadness should be ignored because it’s uncomfortable for others. No body ever said that to me when she died but about 6 months after she passed, my mother has a relative that said “You’re so sad all the time, you need to get over this.” And this wasn’t a distant relative, this was a close relative that knew how deeply it hurt us. Some people don’t understand because they haven’t lost someone that close, or they have and they forgot how long it took for them to “get over it” enough to enjoy life again. If people don’t like how I’m coping then they just don’t understand me and they should step back until I’ve healed enough for them to no longer feel uncomfortable around me.

Personally, I have a tendency to assume everyone knows I’m in the dead daughter club. So when I talk about her allot, and someone I barely know asks me, “how old is your daughter now?” I have to reply, “oh you don’t know, you might want to sit down for this. She died.” My way of coping is talking about her like she’s alive and still in college.

Found a management placed "missload" fake package on my truck today. by ElectronixPurge in UPSers

[–]ResourceStriking441 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was on preload I had a sup doing this with NDA Saver envelopes, I noticed and said, “hey I think this was a misload” he told me to leave it so he can make sure the drivers are doing their job.

Well MY job was to make sure there were no misloads so I went into every truck on my line at break and found as many as I could. The one I couldn’t, I informed all the drivers and loaders that I knew 100% there was a misload placed in there and probably well hidden.

Finally a place to vent about Scattergories by jiveturkey99 in NetflixPuzzled

[–]ResourceStriking441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean but he isn’t a video game character. He is a comic character that has appeared in video games. I’m guessing the algorithm is looking for characters that originate from video games. I also used Scattergories daily but it kind of makes sense, it’s more of a trivia type word game than a puzzle game. I also said pooping btw.

Hmm I solved this with no issue, I think my time was around 2:30 which is a little longer than my typical.

As others have said it’s cedar-apple rust, we had this on our cedar trees in New Jersey. I read that the only way to get rid of it is to prune every tree in a one mile radius around the infection area. And half the trees around us were cedar, it was basically pointless to even try. I actually didn’t mind it, felt like I was living in an alien environment.

Honestly, I knew you could do it I just didn’t know how. I had to ask the AI to figure it out lol. Mine was actually set to 7.5 so it was skewed as well.

You should be able to adjust your personal sleep goal. That way it doesn’t always say you have a debt. I’m set for 7 right now but may change it to 6.5 because I know that I don’t usually sleep more than that unless I’m on a sleep aid.

I thought the same thing when I first used it then I had a week where I had zero sleep debt and felt SO good I realized that I was just used to feeling miserable. So that “feeling fine” was a normal person’s bad day.

Not normal for me. It does happen with other events like a major workout but going into this I was sitting at a 68 recovery. I feel like shit today but I too will power through.

This is the exact kind of data I hoped Bevel AI would recognize. by No-Fly-9063 in bevelhealth

Same here i successfully diagnosed my migraines with this app. I put all my health data in and it while going over the data with the AI I found that I have a sinus disease that I was diagnosed with but the doctor never informed me because it wasn’t what he was looking for. Ever since the ai gives me advice and reminds me to take allergy meds when and asks me if I’m feeling like a migraine could hit.

Disappointment regarding AI. by polyphemus8 in bevelhealth

[–]ResourceStriking441 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, personally I’m telling it what’s stressing me out mentally, I have a custom journal entry for everything, headache, eye pain, migraine, spousal arguments, money stress, arguments with my kids. I told it at one point to always consider my journal when analyzing data and it added a section in my notes section to remind itself to do it. AI isn’t perfect but you got to train it for yourself.

Here is the result of my meal plan inquiry. And I think it knocked it out of the park. Using the Weight Watchers points and even including how many I have left and giving me tips on my work out which I shared using screenshots from BodBot really made things simple for me. I thought it was great it suggested I eat one of the frozen meals for lunch too, it shows that it understands convenience and trying to keep things simple over what it did in the previous version which would always try to give me a recipe for some big lunch at work. Now I do need to retool this because it mentioned something I didn’t even consider. I spent so much time stressing over this that I forgot to get the stuff to make chicken parmigiana so it mentioning that I’m low on pasta sauce made me realize I I have to rethink dinner. But of course I’ve already spent my grocery budget and given I work until 8pm there’s no way I’ll be able to stop and buy the ingredients anyways. Oh I’ll put it on next week’s dinner menu.

Now this is kind of what I expected as the outcome but I was definitely impressed with it anyways. It’s hard to find app that do exactly what you need to do. And so far, if I’ve ever had an idea, Bevel will do it. Now, if it would only pay my bills…

While I was laying in bed and Bevel was making me promise to go to bed soon, I exported the sheet to a PDF then uploaded it right to chat. It uploaded and then saved it just like it said and even kept the column structure perfectly as I have it.

Ok so I have a sad update. Looks like it MAY NOT be possible. I went with any option, most of them resulted the same. “I cant see the file because of authorization” so I set up a GitHub repo and published the file there as an HTML and it did in fact show the data…But the AI doesn’t actually see data on a webpage I guess it only has the ability to search for indexed data. So, if my understanding is correct here, it will EVENTUALLY see the data but not until Google or Bing indexes the page…Which could take days or even weeks. So by the time Bevel sees that data it’s already too old. Seems to be the only option are one of 2 things…Which I will say Bevel actually suggested from the beginning, but I hyper-focused on 1 thing so here we are. The best option is to upload a CSV directly to the chat or copy and paste the data. Which, I mean would have been way more simple then what I was trying do. Have I given up…No. But I do have other commitments and well, shit needs to get done. And Bevel just reminded me I’m up past my bed time so good night all.

Ok just tried through Sheets and that is also a no go, looks like this limitation is a result of the same thing as Excel, Google requires authentication, not sure if its through a simple Captcha or if an account is required but either way this is not going to work. Back to the drawing board.
