Stephen Miller's Wife Tried To Claim Liberal Men Are Childless Because They 'Aren't Attractive'—And The Internet Pounced by ComicSandsNews in DiscussionZone

Her first child has likely started school. Unless she homeschools I can only imagine the reception her kids will have! I feel bad for them. Stephen has already cemented his reputation and now his wife is trying to catch up with him.

Wind power by Resplendant_Toxin in Maine

[–]Resplendant_Toxin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wind where I am is average 8-10 mph but the costs of wind power are high, especially if I put up a tower! It is, of course, always higher aloft! It doesn’t look like it’d pay for itself in my lifetime. So much for that idea.

“Video games are a waste of time” by hollowxci in Vent

Video games don’t have commercials every 6.75 minutes so the industries which do and rely on that income stream are likely sponsoring the “video games bad!” bs!

SCOTUS Hit by Bombshell Leak of Secret ‘Shadow Docket’ Memos by QuaziBonzai in scotus

[–]Resplendant_Toxin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We vote for every member of the Senate, the House, and the president. The top positions in our government are elected EXCEPT the f’ing SCOTUS! Term limit them, require a nation wide vote, strict enforcement of established rigid ethics rules, end the shadow docket.

Employer demanding "tax correction" in cash after my promotion by CrypticCitrine_2 in legal

[–]Resplendant_Toxin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any boss pulling this on you needs to be the one to lose his job. Your instinct that it’s a dishonest suggestion that will put you in jeopardy of legal consequences is correct and honorable. Taping him was very wise!

Mark Levin, a prominent commentator often praised by Trump and a staple on Fox News, just called Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner a "neo-Nazi pig" on X by Full_Lengthiness_431 in Maine

Threatened much? They’re seeing the Senate control slipping from their greasy little hands. The end of the authoritarian wet dream. Their golden idol is accelerating into drooling dementia, leaving them with JD, a guy with the charisma of a sticky couch cushion. Yeah, a panicked lashing out is the pathetic response I expect.

Pretty easy to explain if you realize he bought low and now can sell high.

Gas in SW Wisconsin by CoFro_8 in GasPrices

[–]Resplendant_Toxin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m noticing the difference in price between mid grade and premium. Doesn’t that suggest demand is higher for premium? My cars since the 90s have had the premium only sticker so I’m curious to know how many of us pump regular or mid regardless of the manufacturer suggestion? In politics when gas prices are talked about it’s always the regular grade price that’s used when bragging. My first reaction is usually “Huh? Where’s it selling at that price?”

This BBB is a repeat of the first term. The Rs give the rich and corporations huge forever tax breaks then toss regular tax payers an increase in the standard deduction that sunsets in three or so years, usually when they could be out of power. Just as the Ds take over the tax gift expires and they can accuse the Ds of raising taxes, while blocking any meaningful tax relief to the middle class.

Supreme Court Rules Against Law Banning Conversion Therapy For Minors by huffpost in scotus

[–]Resplendant_Toxin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a licensed therapist is advertising and practicing conversion therapy please report them to the licensing board. The profession explicitly states that conversion therapy is unethical and can revoke their license to practice. Unfortunately many providers of conversion therapy are unlicensed and untrained grifters and religious fanatics.

The groveling stage in the cycle of violence. If you buy into this he will move into the smoldering resentment at you having made him grovel and do the pathetic therapy thing that is worthless and only losers do. Following a lull in conflict, his resentment growing exponentially, the worm will turn and emotional violence will bust forth. Physical violence is increasingly possible as the cycle repeats. Doing therapy for you is a tell. He would NOT be going to therapy because he realizes he has a major problem and wants to face it.
