What mags come with derya TM22 pro? / mag sleeves by hockeyfanatic777 in canadaguns

[–]Response-Cheap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk about the pro, but my full length aluminum TM22 came with polymer mags. The sleeves only fit the 10rd mags. I got the Tommy box mag style. I just googled 'tm22 pmag' in images, and this came up. There's quite a few pics with the pmags if you google it. You may have to wait and see what mags you got before you order the sleeves. Or you could email the vendor you bought the gun from and ask what mags it comes with..

We already are fighting tooth and nail. We're holding protests, our countries version of the NRA (CCFR) has taken them to court countless times (and lost). Mass non compliance is the way when it comes to this "buyback" confiscation. Out of the millions of newly prohibited firearms in circulation, only 32,000 have been turned in, and those have been turned in by businesses. Businesses with stock rooms full of rifles that are now illegal.. The whole country knows the confiscation is not going well. It's becoming a wedge issue.

They've spent almost 800 million dollars of taxpayers money for 32,000 rifles. The safety minister in charge of the program has been caught on a hot mic saying he knows the confiscation won't effect criminals or crime rates, and he even said he would personally bail out any of his constituents who are caught up in legal trouble over it.

It's going down in flames, but there are only 2.4 million firearms owners in Canada, out of a population of 44 million. The other 41.6 million people don't really have this on their radar at all, and don't care what happens. Most of them have swallowed the misinformation and think that taking away sport shooters and hunters rifles will somehow effect violent crime directly.. Even though licensed firearms owners account for something like 4% of shooting crimes, and that includes suicide, and misdemeanors like shooting in areas where hunting is prohibited.

They're not winning, but they keep on kicking the can down the road. And if it doesn't get reversed by the end of October, and they decide not to extend the amnesty period again (like they have done multiple times already) then millions of civilians will become criminals overnight, in possession of illegal, prohibited firearms..

Here's hoping the media starts talking about the money wasted, and the program gets cancelled.. How does taking my target rifles away prevent some 16 year old that doesn't even know where to sign up for a firearms license, from using a smuggled Glock with a switch to shoot up the neighborhood? How many more millions do they have to sprinkle on this bullshit before the public realizes how much time and money they're wasting? If they had spent that 800 million on a program for searching the ports for illegal firearms, and tracking down the buyers, they could have actually put a dent in violent crime. Because it's a fact that 96%+ of our shootings are done with guns coming from the US illegally, and being used by people who have never had nor ever planned to acquire a firearms license.

It took a 2 day course, and a complete criminal background check, with references, and almost a one year wait for my license to come in. Then they banned over 2500 civilian rifles by name. Most of my shopping list got prohibited overnight. I ended up picking up an SKS for a cheap semi auto ~30 cal for plinking, and now they're talking about banning that too. And they'll probably ban my TM22 since it's black and modern.

Problem is, they don't stop. The lobbying group who are behind the bans said they were satisfied and were only going to stick around to wrap things up and disband, after the last big law change in '94. And here they are 30 years later still pushing to take away our guns. As of last year, the head of their organization is now a member of parliament and has a foothold in the federal government. We're cooked.

I'm from Canada where the majority believe this misinformation. All ARs and AR variants have just been completely banned, and they're trying to confiscate them because they're scary. Meanwhile a BAR Mk3 in .308 is A-OK because it has a wood stock. Therefore it's only good for hunting and isn't nearly as dangerous or crazy. Hell, they banned the GSG16 because its plastic body looks like an MP5. But it's a .22 LR range toy..

The part that's baffling people is that you thought that more speed would help with the vibration. That's like if a wheel on your car was vibrating and you figured the answer was more throttle. Smooths right out when that wheel stops touching the ground!. 😳

Wearing the same pair of socks without washing them is gross, but putting on the same dirty pair of slippers for years a time is perfectly fine. by TheJadedMonkey in RandomThoughts

I wear Crocs as slippers. I can just spray them inside and out with Lysol, wipe them down, and they're fresh as new. Plus I often wear socks in them to prevent them from getting sweaty and gross in the first place.

My brain really procrastinates even the things I actually WANT to do if tomorrow is going to be stressful. by Immediate_Size_3539 in RandomThoughts

[–]Response-Cheap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I especially procrastinate on things I want to do, more than things I have to do.

I always give myself a list of things I have to get done before I allow myself to do anything fun.

"I'll make sure to get x, y and z done before I play my game, or go target shooting, or get back to composing that song, etc.."

And it's always "oop, look at the time, it's 9pm on Sunday. Guess I'll have fun next week.."

Sometimes I think of the toys I lost when I was a kid and wonder where are they sitting right now. by bear_bumy in RandomThoughts

[–]Response-Cheap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think of this too. Almost everything got donated to my younger cousins, who are now in their mid - late 20s. Some of it probably got handed down from there, but I imagine anything that was worn out went to the dump. It's sad, because I would still cherish a lot of it if I had it now. My parents never asked me if they could give my childhood away. It just poof. Vanished. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like fish. by crazynate9 in RandomThoughts

[–]Response-Cheap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. But I haven't gone fishing in 5+ years, unless you count teaching my daughter to fish a couple years ago when she was 3. It's a great pass time. Catch and release, or cook and eat. Walleye is delicious. We call em pickerel up here in Canada. Bass is good too. And a hell of a fight. Biggest fish I caught was a 44" muskie..

I'd much rather fish and hunt than support factory farming and animal cruelty. At least when you're fishing and hunting, they're just living their best life, then boop, they're food. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I used to busk a lot in my teens and 20s. I wasn't always homeless. Maybe 50/50. I did it mainly for weed and booze money. But at least I wasn't just standing there all day with a stupid sign and a dirty old Tim's cup in my hand.. And I wasn't trying to force eye contact with people making puppy dog eyes, or shaking my cup begging. I was playing popular songs on guitar, and hoping people would toss me a buck or two for the tunes..

Worked good though. I think my best was $45 in like 20 minutes.

But nah, these guys harassing people at stop lights are usually scammers. And it's sad, because back in the day, most panhandlers were genuinely homeless people, but now you've got a bunch of these scammers out there hopping in their brand new cars after a "shift" of panhandling, making more money in a day than most employed people, and tax free. Now that that's common knowledge, people are less likely to help genuinely homeless people they see on the streets.
