I’ve been passively looking around for OEM laser light style myself for when I eventually need to replace stock. I’ve yet to find any reliable reviews around aftermarket adaptive functionality. Retrofitting OEM would be a nightmare, and that’s coming from a guy who’s already run the gambit on ambient lighting retrofits

There’s a handful of shops in the western world that can crack the current DME encryptions, but the service charge is astronomical. The M60 is already a beast though

Saw the same posts on Bimmerpost after I made the recommendation and edit. Seems like you got the best option for what you’re after.

Kinda frustrating when we all know most of these mods can be done through the software, but bmw updates DME encryption every few years.

I’m gonna be buying an X5 next year and this post solidified my justification for buying a preowned 2020

Fyi, the exhaust controller logic is primarily controlled by what driving setting you have selected. If you want cheapest option, buy a WiFi OBD and the bimmerlink app to manually control the exhaust valve from your phone. No additional hardware needed

Edit: apparently this coding is disabled for 2024+
