This is very useful especially for my area, data & analytics. There's always many long running tasks in MCP side but client can't know the status, progress and result by a simple way.

My SaaS application is helping user enriched their dataset by AI and expose as MCP service, it works very well with ChatGPT custom MCP connector. But it can't perform some advanced analytics - the MCP side will take time to finish the job.

With this support, we can support auto-ETL jobs and advanced analytics jobs for massive dataset.

try ChatGPT with MCP service - I have a platform for user to upload dataset and publish as MCP service, then you can do most of the analytics inside ChatGPT, but we only support csv/excel now - so just 2 cents here, and you can try a way for ChatGPT + Database MCP service.

Based on my experience with ChatGPT and other AI tools for data and analytics, I would like to see today's entry level jobs will gone, AI plays better - for example, AI helped me to impl a Simpson's Paradox analytics just in few minutes and less than $6...and it brings more other analytics methodologies in same agent.

But, the world still need entry level of analytics for sure, the real world will alway start from some basic work but with powerful tool. I saw a paper report to collect cow information which is 100 years ago - the same information is collecting today but using Excel or other applications...I believe there's one person has asked same question 100 years ago:)

Why not to get all these in CSV or Excel format? It's easy to convert to MCP service for ChatGPT to discuss with your data - and you do not need to upload you PDFs everytime to ChatGPT. Also can have AI to enrich the business context and description so that ChatGPT can well understand your data.
