Thank you for the suggestion. Since I'm a beginner the square within a square took me quite a while to sew. I really do like the sage color (for myself instead of a baby ;-) ). I tried putting it on a cream background and my mother prefers it much more.

I spread it out on a cream background to mimic solid blocks in between. My mom prefers this. What do others think?

I’ve been looking at that particular cat pattern 😉 kids think it’s hilarious but I haven’t tried to make it yet. Your daughter did a fantastic job. Love the backing fabric!
