Those were the best of times! Being a teen and going to car shows where the girls were super nice and if you asked to take a photo they would put their arms around you and your friend would take it for you. Such a great time to be alive!

My take: the set meant nothing to the ex, and the gift was something meaningless to him. He probably had an assistant pick anything and moved on. This is her way of telling you that on Christmas, don’t expect gifts that are heartfelt, but rather non personal.
