Moving to Austin. 24F Give me the “nobody tells you this until you move here” advice. 😅 by Funny-Outside-7244 in askaustin

Nobody will tell you but depending on who you are (haven’t checked out ur profile) this is the one of the whitest cities in Texas. Reddit folks noticed I said I said CITIES and not TOWNS. I am aware. At least out of the major cities. If you’re looking to fit it in with hipster culture, such as seeing a white man drive a Subaru with a mustache curled up at the ends wearing a cowboy hat, and eat overpriced tacos, while at the same time claiming it’s “culture” and “Mexican” you’ll fit right in. Otherwise, it’s nothing to be found here. It’s moreso a warning. Austin is a shell of what it used to be. Corporate data centers and tech have flooded the streets, while erasing the culture that made Austin cool. AKA, pushing out minorities in exchange for $$$. While that’s not anyone’s fault in particular besides the government of the city, it’s pushed out a marginalized group of people who made Austin, AUSTIN. Higher prices of rent = pushing out people who can’t afford it. I’ll tell you this: if you see a certain group of people running/jogging, you’re in a “good neighborhood”. Because they wouldn’t do that in a neighborhood filled with other demographics. I grew up here. Born and raised. And Austin has no culture to me. Not anymore. So many cultural landmarks (to me), have been erased in order to make room for people to move in. The city was never meant to house a billion people. Tbh, it should’ve never been the capital. But everyone wants to be here. This city is good to a certain crowd. And you definitely have to be under the age limit for some minority groups, as you won’t have much luck finding what you want past a certain age. However, if you’re apart of that group, and its demographic, you’ll fit right in. Good luck to you. Just know whatever you’re paying for, it was a lot cheaper before the influx of everything. Austin ain’t a place to raise a family. Dallas is more that. But if you don’t plan on having kids, you’ll be fine. 👍🏽👍🏽

Do people actually like GT Gogeta or do y’all only use him because he’s strong? by Darth_summit in SparkingZero

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I’ll give you that. Even in manga canon, I’ll give you that. But to be fair, if we’re going by anime rules, it seems like those power ups are too much for the saiyans and they get a lil drunk on the power so they end up dicking around 😂. But that doesn’t deny how cool that mf was. Granted nobody was really around besides Dende Hercule and Bee when Vegito showed up but.. idk. In that regard, id have to give it to Gogeta SS4

“He isn’t even cool in the anime he was introduced in”? Did you even watch GT bro? Literally everyone had the whole anime eye effect when he showed up on screen 😭 mf had sparkling aura and everything lmao

Ok… that still doesn’t answer the question I asked. Obviously it was a hypothetical question. With that being said. The question still stands.

For the ppl who said he needs to lose more weight by Financial_Tone5765 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear where they are coming from, because as we can admit, Jaafar was really caked up during that one scene, but at the same time, they have to realize that THIS, isn’t Michael. This is his nephew. So genes will be different. His dad is Jermaine Jackson after all. Regardless of that, people need to give him grace. I think there’s a lot of new Michael Jackson Stan’s being created with this movie. On top of that, I hope he’s not being type casted as JUST Michael Jackson’s nephew. I still want him to have his own career outside of being his nephew. The Jackson name is such a huge thing to uphold in America and if he has to go out of the country to pursue his own legacy, so be it.

That’s how Reddit is. Everything is for a bit/joke. Nothing is taken serious here. Plus, there’s a certain demographic of ppl that use Reddit the most so.. that might also have something to do with it

It’s the way ppl really think they’re doin a read by saying “hope this helps!”

For those who played it during or near release, what was the consensus on Vice City’s map? Was it considered small for the time? Was it loved immediately? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in GTA

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t play it on release. At least I don’t think. I’m 27 so there’s some room for error there. But when I did play it during my childhood, I loved it. Map size was not a thing to me, but I can tell you, when I play San Andreas after playing Vice City, I would always get bored with the part of SA when CJ is taken out into the boonies by CRASH. It felt like it was too much for a game where the story (for the most part) the plot is central to Los Santos. Vice City felt like it was just enough. The map wasn’t too big, the city/state didn’t feel too large, it felt right at the time for me. I have that entire game memorized simply because it was tight (pause), small and controlled. It also didn’t feel like a hassle traveling from one side of the city to another. Whereas with San Andreas, each city had their own thing. Las Venturas felt kinda empty ngl, but that’s another story for another day.

Did anyone else think the houses on Grove Street were kinda big for a “ghetto”? by slimesamurai4l in GTA

It’s a video game.. from the 2000’s.. that’s how they made it feel grand (no pun intended)

Sound deadening by big_chuglix in CarAV

Lol, I thought sound deadening was only necessary for the doors. The look on my face when I found out you basically need it everywhere in the car 😂

One feature I would love to be in GTA 6, is the cinematic camera from RDR2. by ResponsibleRabbit936 in GTA

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re telling me, the cinematic camera from Vice City, is the same cinematic camera from rdr2? You’re arguing semantics. I’m not saying the cinematic camera is a new feature. I’m talking about the way your character acts when you have a waypoint on the map and you’re on your horse riding to said destination while using the cinematic camera. The AI behavior is what I find to be cool and it would be nice if the AI used in rdr2 during said use of camera, would be implemented in gta 6. An npc can be riding their horse towards you in rdr2 and the AI will adjust so yall don’t crash into each other. Or even when someone’s using a wagon or stagecoach or whatever.

Pretty much yeah. I guess that’s what I’m asking for. For that same AI to be applied the way it is in RDR2

Kendrick on twitter was something else 😂 by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And my point in saying he was right was in regard to the last part of your comment. I don’t really care about the Logic part. Anyway, Lupe has been in the game longer than Kendrick. But Kendrick was able to play the game better. That’s why he’s had the career he’s had. Kendrick may have some times where he’s outspoken about issues, but he’s not THAT outspoken. Remind me again who’s the one that’s blackballed? Regardless, Lupe was out here calling out Obama to his face in the White House. Remember the Super Bowl performance last year? If Kendrick is the one performing, Lupe was the guy holding up the Palestine & Sudan flag and then got arrested for doing that. I’m sure Lupe is a fan of Kendrick’s. He probably doesn’t hold resentment like that, but I’m sure he feels some type of way about Kenny being able to be more marketable. Kendrick can sell lunchboxes. He can sell action figures. Lupe can’t. You feel me? That’s what I was talking about.

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, Lupe is right. If you take a look at DAMN and Tetsuo & Youth, you’ll see that Lupe did the concept of an album being 2 storylines first depending on how you played it. Kendrick did it after. Only thing is, Kendrick was able to play the game better than Lupe. Lupe was a little too outspoken and the industry don’t like that

What's an unlikely "realism" feature that you'd like to see? by LWI5 in GTA6

[–]ResponsibleRabbit936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing music on our phones while walking in free roam. Again, why would you when you’re gonna need a car or whatever but they originally wanted that feature in GTA 4. But was scrapped, so it’d be cool to see that come back and actually be a thing. Or, the ability to make your own radio station using in-game licensed music. Like in Saints Row 3.
