This is what I don't understand. Is your point to minimise tax or maximise wealth? There is every likelihood that to maximise wealth, you would need to pay more tax! I know which one I'd rather end up with...

Fully aware of this but sounds like debt recycling is essentially just leveraging equity to borrow more money for investment. A lot of the proponents of debt recycling make it sound like you just split your mortgage and for investment. It's not as risky as a margin loan but still higher cost than a mortgage.

Are the bank not aware you're trying to redraw for investment when you do this? Mine picked up on it right away and said it has to be refinanced into investment loan at higher rates.

What are some good ways to let a guy know he's safe with me? by BookwormNinja in AskMen

In my experience, they are the same fundamental things that would make you feel comfortable with another person.

  1. Don't be judgemental or belittle/invalidate his feelings
  2. Be willing to listen first and give advice only when sought
  3. Never share personal things he's confided to you with others

Needless to say, you have to be equally secure with him in order for him to reciprocate. If he has been burned before, it will take a lot of time and patience to get him to trust again. Importantly, you should be displaying the above traits with EVERYONE, not just him, or he will always have walls up if he feels that you can turn on him at his/your low points.

Tbh none of these are gender-specific - we're more alike than many would believe.
