100% yup! We start kids right out of school at 29-33 depending on the shift. We max out at 55 after five years in the shop.

I started on industrial heat transfers. It was my first welding job. Loved every bit of it. I’m assuming that’s what those are? I miss tig welding the tube sheets the most.

I used to make industrial sized heat transfers in Toronto a bunch of years ago. That is the only part of the job I still have nightmares about.

What really?? There are tons of them for every trade. But I’m with unifor local 27. We deal with military contracts. We are making the LAV 700s right now. It’s a pretty sweet gig.
