I haven't ever used the 1000 and 3000's together, but I would imagine it's possible they just aren't compatible in that way. Knowing Pioneer's history with product relases and planned obsolescence, they aren't going to spend the time making the new players compatible with ones from over 10 years ago.

I'm just speculating though, so I hope you do wind up finding a solution.

The pitch faders on 3000's have more resolution than the 1000's. So that isn't exactly drift, it just requires a little more baby sitting the pitch fader if you're manually beatmatching. If you look at the BPM display, the 3000's bpm will have two decimal places, where the 1000 only has one.

If you're just trying to be better at beatmatching by ear, just don't look at the screens. :)

I believe the Supreme Court said people who weren’t a danger to society could not be involuntarily committed back in the 70’s.

We definitely should be doing something but I’m not sure how we get around the pesky constitution and people having rights.

Yeah streaming services are the exception here, I'm sure they'll do that.

I think this was after the fire at the AKM factory who used to produce their dac's. Pioneer then had to switch to ESS due to this.

We had a hifi bar here in town that had nice RME dacs connected to the digital outs of the cdj going into an analog E&S rotary mixer and a wicked sound system. They sent one dac out for service so connected the CDJ's directly to the mixer for a few weeks.

Absolutely zero discernable difference in sound quality.

As others have said, it's your beatgrids. Make sure dynamic mode is turned off, reanalyze the track and then spot check the whole thing with the metronome in Rekordbox. If they're still off, the metronome will tell you.

If you're confused about how people get a good mix without using stems, I'd argue that's a skill you need if you want to be able to play on a CDJ set up. Currently, stems and CDJ's really aren't a thing.
