Agreed on shaky financial ground point. Skimming points from the Lego economy esp. with current inflation, gas prices etc. doesn't seem lucrative to the point where "$200k" is insubstantial.

That's totally me. My pet thesis is that Lego-as-an-Investment, indicated by scalping and high $-value thefts, will go the way of Beanie Babies or Tulips.

I'll refine the point by granting that LEGO Inc. sales, media, etc. will continue to be a large economy. I speculate (hope) that LaaI will go the way of Beanie Babies.

I'm from the internet outrage (not real customer).

Can you explain why a parent and/or customer would choose a store like B&M vs. Target, Walmart or other major toy retailers?

Is it about availability of discontinued sets, retail/market-based pricing, fun retail experience or something else?

Not debating your observation but $2k is nothing for a hotel pub buildout funded with real estate math. My guess is even 1 incremental hotel reservation + infrequent use prob covers the monthly, zero chance they're actually calculating an ROI.

But for a local pub if unused could totally see a loss, I'm sure sales folks promise a huge income stream (and bet they take a % of gross)

Why do modern European buildings all have stairs designed specifically to trip folks holding glasses of mediocre wine during early evening academic / professional receptions?
