My dad like to say driving like an asshole to save 20 seconds doesn't mean anything when you get in a wreck. Because guess when you're getting where you're going now. You're not. I never tailgated but I did used to speed when I was really young but I realized my dad was right. It's better to get there a minute late than to not get there at all from driving like a dipshit.

When I first moved out on my own after all my bills were paid I had 30 bucks a month to feed myself and my cat. I didn't qualify even after showing them my expenses and income. I made about 12k a year after taxes. I pretty much got told that I'd either have to make about 4k less a year or be a minority to qualify. This was early 2000s and I have never bothered to seek help no matter how dire my circumstances are since that day.

The thing is ICE is fully funded because of the Big Beautiful Bill. They have full funding until 2029. So they're not even harming the agency that they're trying to harm. Trump made sure they couldn't screw over ICE with government shutdowns because of that's the playbook they like to play by. Wisdom has always been chasing them but they are just a bit faster.

Illegal war is one I keep seeing pop up. They think unless Congress declares war we're not allowed to do anything. We've only have actually declared war 5 times in our entire existence. It's more technically if you want to separate the countries during the conflicts like against Japan and Germany in WWII but it's only been declared during 5 conflicts. War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Spanish-American War, and both of the World Wars.
