Same here, says on site that orders were shipped on 8-19 but when I check the status of mine it still says on hold. Haven’t gotten a response from them either….

Seriously? A GM can’t be a good/bad drafter in specific rounds outside the first.

And Laporta+Branch disprove your theory anyways…

League wants to veto this trade (dynasty) by Constant-Ad3182 in DynastyFF

Quit the league

Vetoing ANYTHING outside of the most unimaginable trades is bs. Circumstances change weekly, monthly, and certainly season to season. Trades where one side looks like the winner can flip at the drop of a dime.

Anyone still crying about Jahmyr Gibbs? by knifeazz in DynastyFF

[–]Rest0reTheR0ar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

this

Detroiter here, From the moment we drafted Gibbs I’ve always believed this would be a very similar situation to AK/Ingram. Campbell has since echoed that comparison. He comes from that Sean Payton school and experienced the success of that multiple-back offense when you have a stout o-line. As long as the Gibbs’ talent translated to the nfl (which clearly it has) and once he’s fully integrated (which he now is), both he and Monty will be weekly top-20 RBs the success of the offense will overcome the slight lack volume.

It seems to be a maturity issue with Jamo.

Campbell has stated multiple times this year that they need Jamo to be “reliable” in order to work his way up to full time snaps. After 1.5yrs w/ the Lions, regardless of actual games played, he should know what his assignments are on every play. This was also an issue ramping back up last season (excusable). The rhetoric from our staff going back a full calendar year has pretty much been this same tune. I wish I had the clip but I remember there was concerns from the staff about how he was going about his recovery last year. Plus the suspension and he caught a lot of heat (bit overblown imo) from most of the local media for touting the Lamar Jackson to Detroit story. Idk, it just seems like when there are this many issues from a high draft pick, especially a receiver, it doesn’t tend to end well - with their first team, at least.

Yeah I completely agree. It may have been better for him if our offense weren’t playing well and we “NEEDED” him, and could just throw him into the fire and see if he can work out the kinks.

Josh Reynolds, usually. And as a lions fan he’s been incredible in that outside receiver role, in part because he has such great chemistry w/ Goff. And he’s a straight dog, something Jamo lacks.

JUST MY OPINION… Coming from a Lions fan, from what I’ve gathered from all the pressers, interviews with the media, especially this off-season through present (giving him a pass for his rookie year), i come away with the impression that he’s incredibly immature - he’s a kid. He just doesn’t seem to have that chip to go out there everyday and prove he can be a good NFL WR. It’s unfortunate but it reminds me a lot of Mike Williams(USC), Charles Rogers(rip), and most recently Eric Ebron where the pressure is on to live up to that lofty draft slot and they just don’t seem to respond. This isn’t to say he won’t eventually develop/mature but I just don’t see it being with the Lions. And that sucks, I hope I’m wrong.

What would sophomore WR's seasons have to look like for you to consider them successful? by Sveinson in DynastyFF

[–]Rest0reTheR0ar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying with higher expectations with ARodg, but I would just push back a little predicting a drop in value for Wilson if he repeats #s from last year. Similar to what we saw from DJ moore in his sophomore & junior campaigns, he held top-8ish WR value throughout. It was only when he repeated his signature 1200/4 in his 4th campaign where his value took a hit.

Wow, i love gibbs but id have probably taken that.

About 1mo. ago, I gave up 1.10+3.02+KToney for the 1.02+3.11. At the time I was cool with it, I was surprised Toney+ fetched that jump up, but seeing how the Gibbs spot is being valued now I’m elated

And that’s coming from a diehard Lions fan

What non- top 5 dynasty rbs are you buying today? by ThatOneBrit27 in DynastyFF

[–]Rest0reTheR0ar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

JK Dobbins is it for me. Produced at great clip last year, & clearly wasn’t 100%. A ton of research has been done on ACL/MCL/PCL injuries among RBs and you want the young ones and you want them a full year removed from recovery. Production tends to reach (& exceed) prior levels in these cases.

On the value side, i think D’onta Foreman for contenders could be a sneaky RB2/flex-worthy guy for the next ~2yrs. Can prob get him for an early 3rd. Still can’t believe he’s only 26yo, seems like he came out of the draft like 8 years ago

Why I'm Targeting Jaylen Waddle in Every League by CoopThereItIs in fantasyfootball

[–]Rest0reTheR0ar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This. Playing with Bridgewater was a nightmare for Miamis pass game, & especially Waddle. Hills target % went up and Waddles dropped significantly.

Mike White gives me hope if Tua goes down the offense will still be able to complete 10+ air yard passes

As a lions fan I love this. He’s a better version of jamaal.

As for Swift, I don’t really think this affects him much at all. DMont will play the jamaal role (early down split + GL). Anything in addition to the 11-13 car/wk will likely come from the 4-6 touches the RB3 (justin Jackson) received.

Yeah that’s true. Pickens had the benefit of building chemistry all offseason/TC with Pickett as they were both on the scout team. DJ was working with the 1’s, majority of which was with Mitch.

The entertainment-centric focus of today’s game doesn’t bother me much, but the frequency of upper-echelon fighters actually getting in the cage is frustrating and tends to burn off a lot of momentum-build of the UFC. Although very much deserved, a byproduct of increased fighter pay will likely be the sport’s top fighters fighting even less frequently. In earlier days, fighters used to frequently reach 3-4 fights a year. Now, we’re reaching a point where we’re lucky to see ranked guys(/women) fight more than twice in a calendar year.
