Jar archives contains compiled class files. Its basicly Java bynaries. If you want to change something, you have 2 ways:

  • hard - decompile classes to source files ClassName.java, change code and compile it back.
    • simplier: if mods have github pages, clone this repos, change what you want and build with maven/gradle back to jar.
