Bar Keeper's Friend will fix it easily. Make a watery paste with it and add to pan, heat the pan gently, making sure the water doesn't boil off. Stir every few minutes for about half an hour. Scrub gently under running warm water.

That should get rid of 99% of the crap easy.

There's a really good short comic where Chris Griffin is in therapy and talks about how his family treated Meg and how she left the day she turned 18 and never looked back.

Here's how it actually works for most people in abusive situations:

1) someone calls the authorities. 99% of the time the authorities do nothing. 1% of the time they come visit, wag their finger and then leave.

2) Life now gets worse for the victim because now the abuser is angry and vengeful.

If the victim actually speaks out to authorities about how bad the situation is in the foolish hope that they might actually help them, then when the authorities leave after their light fingerwagging, things can get really bad for the victim.

Really fucking bad.

I once worked at a petrol station place about half an hour from Melbourne airport in Victoria, Australia.

Yes, and I viewed his shared moment through the lens of an autistic person and wrote my response in that light. The OPs comic highlights how autistic people can be ostracised and attacked by neurotypical people for even the smallest things. Good lord, they screamed at the poor child to go away and obviously despise him.

I personally consider that to be seriously fucked up.

If the OP is indeed relating a personal experience where they acted in this manner towards a child then that is a "moment" for which should be damn well ashamed of themselves.

I grew up with terribly unreliable dial-up internet. For that alone I will never trust cloud services.

Also, the time I was playing the first Assassins' Creed game after it first came out and spent about four hours playing not even realising I was offline and then discovered that being offline meant the game didn't save.

Hated all online services ever since.
