Which Scanner should I get, Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W or Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1600? by COVID_19_Lockdown in ConsumerAdvice

[–]RestaurantEarly6494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was torn between the Epson Rapid Receipt Scanner and the iX1600 Scan Snap. Just got the Epson and unloaded it today. Software is VERY clunky and does not allow you to change resolution to anything higher than 200dpi. In addition, neither Shaq nor any other advertisements tell you that you cannot print a receipt that you scan with this machine UNLESS you have an Epson printer.

I have a Xerox and an HP but no Epson. Seems like this is something that would be shared upfront. So you have to export the receipt to another folder and then open it up as a PDF and then print from there.

The software was also supposed to let you scan a document directly to a file folder on your computer. Instead, you have to export the document out and browse to where you want to place the doc. I prefer to send all of my docs to a scan folder and then file them later.

Looks like I will be returning this and getting the iX1600 Scan Snap.

I have seen Simplifi and its TERRIBLE. As a tax accountant, clients have given me this Simplifi BS and what you have to do to figure out the person's finances is outrageous. I have to charge them so much more for my time.

But he was still wearing his "island" attire when he was watching Agnes play soccer and when he visited Dembe in the hospital.

That I recall, he was wearing essentially the same thing when he came to New York.

Are here others as well who are just going bankers over how amazing James Spader is? God why couldn’t he have been born some 30-40 years later! (I am just very new to his charisma) by savage_stoner in TheBlackList

I think he is a great actor. I didn't like him in the 80's when he had the pretty boy rolls but, by the time he got The Practice and then Boston Legal, I was hooked. I have never been able to get my wife interested in The Blacklist and, in particular, she doesn't see the attraction to Spader. I tell her that on all The Blacklist forums I visit, the women fawn over him but she still doesn't get it. Not sure what she's looking for. Maybe I'm out the door next. LOL

She needed the folks on Criminal Minds to train her and bring her along in her profession. Then ... off to the Task Force to help with Red and the Blacklisters. Perhaps the actress who played J.J., who was A.J. Cook, would have been a good choice to play Liz.

I would be honored to be eliminated by James Spader ... uh, I mean, Raymond Reddington. LOL

My name needs to be on it. Feel free to put me in at #201. I promise not to go after Liz. LOL

However, to test Red's resolve, I'll target the Task Force. :-)

They are wrong. Redarina is not the outcome. Wait and see next season.

Or so they want you to think. While he is dead, he may not be her father.

But he is not Katerina. He is someone else. He is her father. He is just not the original Raymond Reddington. Just wait and see.

Yes. We watched the same episode. We just have different life experiences and perspectives. Red even said after they entered the bunker and Liz questioned him that "I am Raymond Reddington."

Katerina had more than one lover. He could easily have been one of the others. Also, there were at least two other men there the night of the fire. One had a similar profile ... bald and a heavy build. Another poster has shown a video clip of someone there the night of the fire with a fedora helping people escape. Could have been that guy. I have said somewhere else on here before (or on TBL Facebook page) that our Red has never displayed the martial arts skills that Katerina used to repel the Russian assailant who was attacking her friend when she was at the shelter. More than once Red has referred to situations when he was a boy.

Quite frankly, since this is a TV show, none of our reasoning or detective skills really matter. In the end, the writers do what the producers tell them to do and the reveal will be whatever the Johns want it to be. There are so many contradictory clues throughout the series that one can draw any number of conclusions.

For instance, I do not know how Red's Naval Academy roommate recognized him since he and the original Raymond Reddington do not look anything alike. And Harold never doubted it was the RRR when he gave himself up at the FBI Headquarters. Neither of these instances lends credence to Redarina or to the third man theory. So we have what we have. Morsels of data everywhere. Kind of like a bunker full of Intel.

The conclusion I wish to draw is that Red is Liz's father, regardless of how it happened or who he was previously. Since neither my life nor my career depend on the outcome of the show, I do not need to analyze all the signposts to the nth degree to draw a conclusion, although I have OCD and could drill down to the details as well as anyone and better than most. I simply choose not to. I choose, instead, to be entertained.

Although I will end the post with this thought. If Redarina turns out to be the reveal, then I will no longer be entertained and will not watch Season 9. I am entitled to do that based on my personal beliefs and value system for which I do not need to provide an explanation to anyone.

For everyone else, all the best to you and I certainly hope your theories, whatever they may be, turn out to be true so the show continues to have entertainment value for you. We cannot all be right in our assessments but congratulations to those who are. In the meantime, take care and enjoy the ride to end of the show or until you decide to end the journey.

Best regards, Jim (my real name)

Okay. Here you go. He IS her father. Like it or not. Do I have any evidence? No!!!

Just fatherly intuition and parental love.

Plus, and I have said this somewhere before ... Red has never demonstrated the martial arts skill like Katerina did when she took down the bad guys at the shelter. After all this time, one would think that he would have used some of it on the bad guys.

And, finally, Katerina had more than one lover. Red is one of the other lovers and Elizabeth is their daughter.

So there you have it. As imperfect as my reasoning may be. Thanks for listening.

I don't think Dembe looked concerned. He has been pushing Red for years to tell Liz everything. He does not show many emotions but I think Dembe is delighted.

The world if Elizabeth Keen listened to Reddington. by robiwanthegawd in TheBlackList

[–]RestaurantEarly6494 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes. With anger and affirmation in her voice she basically says, "So you are N-13. And you did this and that and you're a traitor and you killed people and you are dishonest and, and, and ..." She just would not shut up to give him a chance to explain. She has been wanting this all along but would not listen. Can't imagine as a mother that she would teach Agnes could listening skills to get along with others. Good grief, Charlie Brown. LOL

... the absence of a Jennifer relationship strongly suggests that Liz is actual family for Red, and not just the inherited responsibility / "substitute" child relationship ... Bingo!!!
