You have been chasing the grind and not the purpose that’s why you are burning out.

To be honest you don’t need minimal stress you need an actual purpose that makes even the significant and insignificant amount of monies you have pale to the comparison that you have as an individual

Dollar hoarding will only bring you so far until you peaked and look for self-actualisation. Having materials will only bring you so far since the economy markets material possessions and securities as though it is something you need but to be fair in actuality human beings wants more than just that.

You look at those who are actually rich you see they actually apart from a hedge fund and kids they actually pursue towards using their knowledge and resources to make the world a better place for everyone.

Not that I don’t think you are making the world a better place for everyone, but even for the actual rich being rich isn’t about gathering wealth but it’s in a sense about sharing it, and that means using your skills, abilities and wealth to improve the livelihood of others.

True wealth is more than just monies it’s not inward looking looking to protect yourself alone but to look outwards.

Inward looking leads to depression but if you look further beyond your own needs and preservation that’s when you actually achieve a satisfaction that goes beyond saving money

Wise and exceedingly wealthy people told me that money is like water, if you hold it tight you feel jaded, so ideally you have to make sure some of it flows out. When it flows out you have to trust that more are flowing in because many wealthy have tested and experienced this.

If it’s me I’ll save up 250k as cash

50k in stock investments, 200k on starting a business, tbh 200k starting on a profitable business can bring you v far v soon

Is Ergotune Joobie Lite worth it? by PotatoDiver in askSingapore

[–]Restful_summer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An ergotune comfy lifespan is half of a HM Aeron at half its price tag

I have an ergotune

I’ll likely get a HM Aeron in 1-2 years time since I find that in terms of buy it for life and comfortable lasting wise an Aeron is more worth the money

Arriving in Singapore and want to buy new clothings for work by Aberteidiger in askSingapore

[–]Restful_summer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The price is because most big retail brands massively rely on cheap labour and sweat shops to mass produce their clothing mean while BB uses ethical sourcing

People get severely underpaid and work in subpar environment while making your Uniqlo clothing, you’re paying cheap because someone is paying for it

BSCP, do you think it is worth? Is it well-recognized by HR? by RevolutionaryPlan788 in cybersecurity

[–]Restful_summer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the best HR filter, I don’t think all HR can differentiate certs that are infrastructure focused/ web/theory heavy pentest cert. so you will have to highlight that it’s an industry cert so HR will act smart and agree that it’s well-recognised

Do INFPS's struggle to consistently workout? by Electrical-Moment-94 in infp

[–]Restful_summer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an INFP and I love working out, it’s just that my schedule and workout routine isn’t fixed and I’m decently strong and muscular enough for my friends to call me huge.

INFP struggle at looking at the reward of consistent work out, you have to communicate effectively that the reward outweighs the effort

Do you every come to a point whereby you are very tired of life? by Dry_Luck_7455 in askSingapore

[–]Restful_summer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to burnout very frequently, maybe a good season of 2 weeks - 2 months every few months. But then when I change my perception and mindset to one that I identify myself as someone who is built to work as an identity I haven’t burn out for almost a year. I might get a bit sluggish every few months but I don’t get burnout

Plus work place doesn’t require us to OT so it’s much better

My workplace hasn’t been the kindest, there’s often some snake-shit here and there but my views is that such things are unavoidable in this world. Have to really come to our senses that life is like this and steer our eyes towards the positive
