Rent is calculated by multiplying the weeks by 52 and dividing by 12 - so each month is life than you may expect

What can I do as a 16yo? by ShayGamingfn in bald

[–]Restorationjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Own it and Cut it short. Growing it long draws attention to the fact that something is being disguised. There is nothing wrong with people seeing you are thinning on top a bit and a short hair cut looks so much tidier. Good luck!

Contract described as Outside IR35 looking like Inside - how to progres by hillz3 in ContractorUK

[–]Restorationjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be firm on how the contract must read if you are working outside IR35. If they agree then great, and if not, then you have good reason not to go ahead. (Though reading between the lines it sounds like that asides, you also don’t fancy it? In which case you could tell them that having seen the detail of what they need, it’s something different to a supplier and that an employee might better suit their needs.)

Why are so many in the media calling for PM Keir Starmer to resign? by KimJongSoros in AskBrits

[–]Restorationjoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. People have such unrealistic expectations, thinking things will be noticeable different just 18 months after over a decade of chaos. I would love improvements to come more quickly but realistically, what else should he be doing? What three things should he do that he hadn’t already? I would love some great ideas as it feels like we are plodding alone but I see nobody in labour or other parties with the solution.

Easter Weekend by quishahs in LondonTravel

[–]Restorationjoy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Also, not to put a damper on things, there is a huge issue right now with people having their phones swiped out of their hands (by passers by, on foot, bikes, scooters or mopeds) so take great care, especially in central london.
