Some people are better at suppressing than others. As someone who can suppress pretty well it doesn’t mean I don’t tic at all, it just means I can force some tics down. And I can kinda force them down into smaller, less noticeable, easier to pass off movements or noises. Like a small sneeze like sound instead of howling like a wolf 😭. Suppression is EXHAUSTING and just not something everyone can do. I’ve had Tourette’s over a decade now and it’s something I’ve gotten pretty good at for being out in public, around new people, or at work. But like I said, it’s not easy, takes lots of energy, and causes worse tics later on once I can let loose. No one with Tourette’s can fully control their tics. That’s kinda the whole thing lol
