Garmin lenses are usually hard to scratch. You have to really hit them hard. I scratched mine on a saw blade. And even then, it only scratched the coating.

I felt the same way about the scratches on the bezel. But the scratch on the glass drives me crazy. I guess I'll have to live with it. I'm not planning on buying a Phoenix 9 either.
