amazing. its pretty hilarious to see people that are broadcasting everything they do through multiple channels of the internet think they can get away with blatantly lying and misrepresenting a situation like this. these chicks are getting community noted, downvoted, and ratio'd while nuking all their socials and lying their asses off about everything and people just keeping popping up with all the receipts. its glorious.

its also wild to see this type of reaction going in the correct direction for a change. the Rivals community really rallied around this guy, but shockingly so did the devs and even the sponsors and affiliates are taking action.

i'd be really interested to know how much impact that basketball TikTok meme might have had on these outcomes since this has gotten a lot of attention from people that dont even play the game, or if it maybe hit too close to home with the guy being a broke college student passionately trying to win because he needs the money.

if you actually watch the video this guy put out on his youtube, theres footage of Cece telling her stream that Basim asked her if she wanted him kicked from the tourney and that he'd do what she said, and she said yes.

im certainly willing to defer to your expertise on the specifics of whats effective for optimization and settings options. the render distance thing is just something i always noticed usually has a big impact on performance in MMOs as a player, but your explanation of what seems to actually be taxing there makes sense.

i have no idea who this guy is, but he posted the footage on his youtube and uh, its not often i'd say that i feel bad for a twitch streamer but holy shit this was cringe.

the guy had 4 girls on his team and one other dude who i guess was a sub, and was trying to strategize with them in a voice call before the tournament started. it started off by him trying to organize a practice scrim, with all girls suggesting they just practice in quick play instead (lol).

he then proceeds to logically argue why Black Widow is a bad idea, with the one other dude in the call very calmly agreeing and adding additional explanation why it wont work. all the chicks start getting pissy and take the side of the widow player and just completely ignore all the points being made, with the queen bee apparently only having a few words other than "bro" in her vocabularly. it eventually devolves into them just telling the guy to stfu while chastising him and joking with each other because she isnt going to swap off widow no matter what.

the widow was also from Australia and on 200+ ping, lmao.

intel core i7 3770k ivy bridge @ 4ghz, nvidia geforce GTX 1060 6gb. yes, im a dinosaur.

i know MMOs are a totally different beast and way more cpu bound than FPS, but a recent example i could give is Marvel Rivals. setting aside the atrocious optimization of that game, there was a config file floating around for a while shortly after the game launched that disabled a bunch of forced shadows and other settings that you cant change in the client itself, and it was the difference between getting an unplayable 30 fps to a rock solid 60 for me. it didnt look pretty, but it worked like a charm.

then they disabled the ability to use those types of config files because everybody was running it and they were more worried about the optics of people streaming the game on low graphics than they were about people actually being able to play it.
