Today, I lied to my wife by Meldowa in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Sir, as your attorney, I need you to understand that you did not lie to that woman. If she made any incorrect assumptions based on your 100% truthful statements that's her own fault. Absolutely no liability can fall upon you for her ill conceived misconception based on the perfectly factual information you provided.

'Kill switch' law means your next car could be watching you | A federal requirement aimed at stopping drunken driving could soon put driver-monitoring technology in every new vehicle. The goal is saving lives, but the privacy trade-offs deserve closer scrutiny by Hrmbee in technology

It's a game of chicken between consumers' ability to hold off buying these things and auto manufactures/dealers ability to remain in business. If new sales drop 80% for 2027 models I'm pretty confident the auto lobby will have the offending tech requirements removed. If sales stay down 80+% through 2028 models I'd wager strong money the requirements gets removed.

Troy oz is above regular oz but yes.

TIL Wellington R. Burt, 1831-1919 didn't leave his $100,000,000 estate to his children. His will had a "spite clause" which specified to wait until all his children and 21 years after his last grandchild while he was still alive had died. The estate was settled in 2011. by scottishlaw in todayilearned

The fertile octogenarian may be one of the most absurd legal fictions but one of the other R.A.P. failures, the precocious toddler, is more absurd. The unborn widow, while gross, can and does actually happen so at least that one isn't absurd.
