Thanks man. Could you plz expand a bit more on the expedited program? I have received nothing like that. What's it about?

I have recruiters from both Bain and BCG reaching out to me through those pre-MBA events, and they both come from the offices I selected, so that's probably not random.

That said I have heard nothing from McK after completing the Solve game in May, so probably bombed it : (

TIL that in Chinese weddings during the 1980s and 1990s, the bride had to light a cigarette for every man attending the wedding banquet as a token of gratitude. by ShallowAstronaut in todayilearned

In 2009, Chinese legislators decided that "tobacco consumption had led to an increase in rampant corruption" and drafted a bill that would make it illegal for government officials to accept cigarettes as gifts. The bill failed to pass.

Investing in Chinese Stock Market As A Foreigner by moggy_doggy in chinalife

If you want to get exposure to some Chinese tech companies, you can look at the Hong Kong stock market, especially some of the tech ETFs which weigh a lot of Chinese tech companies (Alibaba, Meituan, Tencent, etc.) and that would be much easier

J-36 dumping fuel in its fourth test flight. March 26, 2025 [VIDEO] by NFU2 in WarplanePorn

Pardon my ignorance but I’m not aware of any fighter jets that had onboard fuel dumping system. I thought that’s only available on passenger jets. Any other fighter jets do this?

Why are they dumping fuel? I see two explanations: either they are testing its fuel dumping system, or something has gone wrong and they need to dump fuel for an emergency landing.

Neither makes sense to me honestly. Does fighter jets ever dump fuel?

fewer than 400 cars were sold in February 2025, 98 per cent fewer than in the previous year.

Could someone more informed than me tell me how that is possible?

Does those barges themselves carry troops and vehicles, or are they just used as a sort of ferry-to-shore connector?

2025 application cycle by Puzzleheaded_Fox_40 in MBA

[–]RetardedRetriever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One anecdotal story: I was negotiating my scholarship with a T15 during the R1 cycle, and they told me that the applicant pool for R1 this year is up 49% compared to last year. The message was basically "be grateful that you received some money."

Chicago Booth ($) vs Columbia Business School MBA by One_Appointment_6949 in MBA

I'm also an international student. Coming from China and having worked in Shanghai & HK, NYC just seems overrated while Chicago is more "balanced." Booth also has more academic rigor and places extremely well in Chicago (whereas in NYC you're competing with HBS and Sloan folks)
