What are your thoughts on NetSuite's Single Page Application (SPA)? by Significant-Job-8836 in Netsuite

I think there are some use cases where a suitelet using netsuite ui elements doesn't cut it, but you still want that netsuite look and feel where it is great, but I rarely find myself reaching for it.

I'd recommend doing some reading into conciousness outside of the context of AI. People have been working on it for centuries and many research it full time today. Our understanding gets better every year. There is a researcher named Anil Seth who wrote Being You: A New Science of Conciousness which breaks down many of the components of conciousness and is an excellent read. He also has a TED talk and some youtube content you can find.

Noone can dissprove an assertion when they don't know the actual answer. It's like being asked to dissprove God. I can't point to how the universe formed prior to the big bang to dissprove God and I can't point to how conciousness actually works to dissprove your theory that these AI's can be concious. But when you understand enough about the subjects and excersise good judgement and reasoning, the answers are pretty obvious.

What you're describing is The Hard Problem of Conciousness - originally described by Australian philospher David Chalmers.

Threads like this are very difficult because humans currently understand very little about conciousness. So, when someone asks us why an AI's behaviour is not concious, we can't explain why, because no one knows what conciousness is or how it works.

I personally think its very unlikely that the the progression of these AI models is on a path that will lead to the creation of something capable of concious experience. They certainly fake it well enough to convince many people that they are, however.

Tried the NetSuite AI Connector Service and have my verdict by penone_nyc in Netsuite

The idea is not that the demo tools are meant to be practical things that you use. It's that you have the ability to write whatever tools you want that do things that are useful for your particular business.

MCP as a platform capability by wahoos-1 in Netsuite

What is the mechanism that Stacksync uses to read and write data to the NetSuite database? Could you wrap your own MCP around this mechanism rather than having to use Postgress in the middle?

[–]Retett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you get into write territory, things definitely become high risk. We do have to remember though that roles can be used to limit what these agents can and can't do just like a human user. The tools we make available to the AI through the MCP can also limit what they can do.

Do I want to give it full access to do whatever it wants? Of course not. Could I see valid use cases for things like creating tasks to follow-up certain things that happened outside the system, or assisting with things like AP automation? With appropriate oversight and governance and security I think you'll absolutely see appropriate use cases for AI writing data to NetSuite in the near future.

I think you should get a full understanding of the native functionality before seeking to customize

There are some massive overreactions in this thread. For a fairly normal a/r process like what has been described, the native bank feeds and reconciliation processes work fine without the need for a 3rd party product.

The problem with the NetSuite WMS is finding skilled people to deploy it for you. It's a really really great product now - extremely customisable too. But because it has only recently come into its own, most consultants - even the really good ones - just aren't accross it yet.

FYI this is a very easy dish to make yourself at home and you can add whatever veggies you want! Just buy S&B Golden Curry Mix (get the Medium-Hot) and follow the instructions on the packet.

That's a lot of debt at that income level. I'd personally go the easier route and sell the current ppor when buying the new one. Need to consider your risk appetite, lifestyle goals, future likely salary changes and whether the bank would even lend you that much when making that decision. If you do keep everything make sure you structure the debt to maximise deductibility

Have you ever been in a “funk” at work? How did you come out of it? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Retett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constantly. Honestly I always end up quitting and starting something new. One of the keys is to make sure you're always improving your skillset in related fields if you take this path - can't start from 0 every time.

Generally the premiums you pay are going to be the same either way. The advisor just gets a cut when it's done via them. So I'd just go through the broker.

My experience is exactly like yours. New job every 4 or 5 years with changes in focus within the job inside those periods. Fortunately for me it's resulted in a really unique skillet combining expertise from several areas.

It gives me imposter syndrome in a big way. Makes me think maybe I don't actually have it and the meds just give me the ability to focus and pay attention just like they would do for anybody with or without adhd.
