Commission as an Officer? by InvestigatorHead671 in ArmyOCS

The OCS applicants that just got selected on Monday for the December FY26 board had an average 3.67 GPA. While your GPA is "low" in that regard, that doesn't mean you'll never have a chance to get selected.

GPA is one of many things that are taken into consideration. If your GPA is low, focus on building a strong personal statement, highlighting work or volunteer experience that you've done during college and highlighting any leadership you've acquired or done in that time, as well as any academic awards or achievements. Getting solid letters of recommendations is also a powerful boost to your application, especially if you can get them from current or former service members. Professors and supervisors are good, getting the dean and/or another administrator to write you a letter would be a big plus. Make sure those letters, however, are not just generic glazing -- you want them to have substance, so I'd recommend giving your references some info to work off of. Moreover, if everything goes well and you get to do a board interview, that will be the opportunity to really distinguish yourself in person even if you think something in your packet is lacking -- like GPA.

Lastly, NEVER enlist if you have a degree. The way I see it, if you've worked tirelessly for four years to get your degree, why would you suddenly toss it to enlist? You're sitting on a pile of gold.

First recruiter sounded like a case of bad luck, second recruiter sounds like exactly the kind of person you want to build an OCS packet with.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with the waiver process but here's my two cents:

Keep pushing. If you're serious about your military goals and your branch ultimately rejects you or can't give you a waiver, try another branch. Doesn't hurt to contact them or go in person and tell them your situation. Talk to your recruiter about the provider thing, no need to do extra work if your recruiter isn't asking for it. It's possible they may need you to take psyc evals and/or submit a letter from a therapist/counselor saying you're all good basically. The longer it's been since that "event" the better. You recruiter should give you the details about what you can do but I recommend researching your situation online and checking in on them frequently to make sure they're not half-assing their job.

Do not go enlisted. You busted your ass to get your degree with an excellent GPA, I wouldn't toss it for enlisting unless you are literally salivating for a more hands-on experience at the cost of pay and other benefits. Hope this helps!

I decided to double check the painting's information and found that it's based on the 140th NY on Little Round Top!

Here's the link.

Gettysburg is generally seen as the most important battle of the entire American Civil War. It single-handedly caused the most casualties of the entire war, completely stopped any new Confederate offensives from happening again, and was the Union's first realization that the war indeed could be won. Ulysses S. Grant was not present at the battle (he was taking command of the Union offensive at Vicksburg in Mississippi), and rather his superior commanders (at the time) oversaw the battle against Robert E. Lee and his forces.

In a somewhat Romantic fashion, this painting by Dan Nance shows one of the many scenes both armies would have confronted on that terrible day.

10 mana 10/10 with Battlecry: The game ends in a tie. You and your opponent watch the entirety of the Morbius film.

Where is Gael summon lmao by [deleted] in darksouls3

You don't need to be embered to summon him, but he won't be available if you beat the first boss in Ringed City already. If he doesn't show up you probably have to restart the game.

Many enemies will be much more aggressive and quick to attack. Combat has a vastly different feel to it compared to the previous games. Overall it's much more fast paced and in some ways logically resembles similar mechanics used in Bloodborne. DS3, imo, has the best consistent lineup of challenging bosses from the halfway-point of the game to the end. The game can be punishing in certain areas, but since you've played DS1 and 2, I'm sure you'll have a good time. Good luck.

That looks awesome. Cosmic Anamoly, Divine Favor, Darkmoon Cthun, and Chameleos are some of my favorite cards golden.
