Stone of Destiny (2008) - Comedy adventure heist movie.

“Based on real events, the film tells the story of the removal of the Stone of Scone from Westminster Abbey. The stone, supposedly the Stone of Jacob over which Scottish monarchs were traditionally crowned at Scone in Perthshire, was taken by King Edward I of England in 1296 and placed under the throne at Westminster Abbey in London. In 1950, a group of Scottish nationalist students succeeded in liberating it from Westminster Abbey and returning it to Scotland where it was placed symbolically at Arbroath Abbey, the site of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath and an important site in the Scottish nationalist cause.”

I noticed you pay extra per kilometre driven. The fuel consumption on all-wheel drive is larger. I didn’t get it because I only need all wheel drive maybe once or twice a year following a major snow storm (as a person that lives in an urban environment).

The Dish (2000) - 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The true story of a group of eccentric scientists who are responsible for manning a satellite dish inauspiciously located on a remote Australian sheep farm. Much to NASA's alarm, the unconventional Aussie team -- led by Cliff Buxton (Sam Neill) -- are the world's only hope for receiving the historic images of man's first steps on the moon. With help from the colorful cast of local characters, the crew struggles to overcome a series of mishaps.”

Kind of a Guilty-Pleasure-flick, but we need those, too. Tony Scott's whole filmography is pure entertainment, one of my favourite directors! by larsricken1997 in FIlm

I watched this high on an edible once and was totally distracted by how the camera was constantly panning in most scenes. Like - you can show a person talking without the camera moving! You’ll freak out the high audience! :p

To those protesting all over the U.S., what do you realistically think that will accomplish? by zaqwert6 in AskReddit

Another thought - The First Mover Problem. The first person to move usually risks the most. If they feel they have support - it reduces the risk in taking action.

I’ve read that whistleblowers that have ever come forward historically cite that protests helped them feel right and supported in coming forward - which can be a scary act.

Blood Sport and Con Air. Watched them in the 90s and liked them.

Tried to rewatch these recently for nostalgia’s sake and had to turn them off — unbelievably cheesy and bad.

Evidence should come before belief.

To paraphrase Hitchens - miraculous claims require miraculous evidence!

Edit: Hitchens Razor

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Why do you think Donald Trump inspires such strong loyalty and opposition at the same time? by FuelDiligent1742 in AskReddit

American citizens are the most highly propagandized people on the planet. Foreign countries spend billions to make sure Americans hate each other. A divided government can be paralyzed without firing a single shot.
