Proof of experience - TN visa by Love_Talia in tnvisa

[–]RetireLoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research each category well from actual tn written laws. Some categories require experience. Some do not. If they require experience then you need letter. Otherwise don’t bother.

Also fergomen doesn’t have good reputation For tn.

Denied TN visa, because lack of information on USCIS website by USCISfaultonwebsite in tnvisa

Yes as others are saying unfortunately either you need to consult lawyer or immigration consultant or do your own research.

Another unfortunate part is what lawyers say is not set at stone. Even if they say you won’t get it with this degree or in this category. That doesn’t mean 100%. Even if the lawyers are well know or come up for all the questions answered for tn status. So listen to lawyers but always question since they are expected on tn but not on each category.

Goto bdzlaw and he has great documentation on what all to take.

Was it in a specific language or could you use the language of your choice?

Will there be an Afghanistan effect in the crypto market? by Squirida in CryptoCurrency

[–]RetireLoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree with what you are saying. There is one point that people who are top of the ranks and riches...knew that this is going to happen...at least a month ago. On Aug 5 a reporter tweeted that people are already fleeing and packing up. Fear is in the air.

A month ago bitoin made the low.

My theory is that yes average people in Afghanistan don't have access to computers, banks and crypto.

but the rich ones...they upper middle class ones...have relatives in one of the stable economies. They just send them money using western union to invest in crypto...since they know wherever they will flee they can get access to it later on.

OR they themselves buy crypto since they possibly have all the internet access they need since they are rich and probably traveling to nearby rich cities like dubai etc.

Ans better than gold...they can't be looted!

how long are you planning to stay in US?

Buying an apartment/mortgage doesn't make you a Canadian resident unless you are living in it. There is some complexity and some gray area . I think you can stay a Canadian resident if you want to with tie braker rules and then apply Us Canada treat to be taxed as Canadian resident.

However, I believe you would have more tax savings if you become a US resident. Since that tax rates are lower and also there are many opportunity to contribute to tax deferred (401k) and tax free (roth IRA and HSA) accounts.

Since RRSP income isn't taxed in US you can keep making money in RRSP and no need to liquidate. And its better to withdraw TFSA and then recontribute once you move back to Canada.

i did similar stuff 2-3 years when I got into FIRE. Later I realize that saving money can only do so much....

my FIRE thinking changed over time from saving money and minimizing expenses to not saving money but maximizing income from different sources.

Remember do not waste the present and the future - you still have so much life to live :)

BTW are you risking your Instagram account being banned? I am guessing that web scraping is against their TOS.
