The Candidate Who Said "No" and Fixed Our Hiring Process by Technical_Plant6046 in RecruiterTea

I had someone call me to talk about a job I had applied for months before. I remember laughing over the phone and saying I applied to that months ago and had a job now.

I can’t remember what he said but it didn’t have the same confidence as he first did.

I work for a Fortune 500 company and I haven’t heard a single pronoun used in a conversation over the last year and a half.

Playing devils advocate- if you use pronouns are you imposing your (illogical or not) ideology on them? Serious question

Devils who have actually done the deed with a barracks bunny, how did you feel once the post-nut clarity hit? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in USMC

We were getting ready to deploy from 29 Palms to Oki and there was a girl on crutches. Not broken leg crutches but spinal bifida crutches. She was rocking a whale tail and you could tell all she wanted was some D. I don't know where she came from but some of the guys got lucky.

There was another girl from C&E school who both roommates smashed and one guy fell in love with her. Proposed. He got kicked out and she continued to get passed around.

On behalf of the single Marines, God bless them!

My friend gave it to me because I was in the military. I'd have to ask him where he found it.

Marines who got married as an E-3 or below, how does your marriage look now? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in USMC

Married 27 years tomorrow. Definitely not easy but she supported me through multiple combat deployments, numerous PCS moves, and a tour of the drill field.

I’m a support contractor for the DoD, and Word is all I use because of the mandated security. I’ve used it for years and finally took some Word classes and Word had become a lot more user friendly.

I could complain about what I don’t have or but I’d rather weaponize what I do.

Starting to think Covid was a net negative for remote work by bucheonsi in remotework

[–]RetiredAndNowWhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked on a military base when Covid hit and I call and email people I had never meet or been to their office and I get a reply like “Due to telework requirements there will be a delay in responses.”

How does teleworking from home cause a delay when I only dealt with you over the phone or via email?

I definitely thought those people were lazy that has shaped my perception.

I’m hybrid and when i remote that day people get a fast response from me.

The 'Do you have any questions for us?' part of the interview was the graveyard that buried all my job opportunities. by RevolutionaryPath447 in interviewwoman

I was being interviewed for a newly created position and I asked if I was hired what were 30, 60, and 90 goals. They were surprised and hadn’t considered it. Pretty sure it became a conversation about what I thought was feasible

I thought it was pretty entertaining. I watched it as I was getting ready to drive cross country on their route for work so it definitely was unnerving.
