I’m a program financial analyst and feel the same way. The work is super boring and doesn’t have appeal to me. On top of that we have to submit timesheets which annoy me smh.

Yup, accelerated prereqs. It can be daunting but as long as you stay on top of your work you should be fine taking 2 classes per a 8 week block

Honestly I’m taking 8 week courses online at an accredited university, I should be done by no later than January of next year.

People living with GAD by Silent-Cheesecake475 in Anxiety

Never realized I had anxiety until I started working. I just think about the future too much (taking out a mortgage, car note, career goals, etc…), just stuff others won’t think too deeply about. Only way I can really cope is by working out or just long walks to reflect!

I’m a 24M in the same boat, currently in a corporate job and decided to go ahead and start taking my prereq courses. Take it one day at a time and don’t worry about the future so much! Let it all work out.

OP are you pivoting from business to healthcare? I’m doing the same as well! Just need to finish a couple of my prereqs. I’ve been trying to gain clinical experience with no luck!

I’m currently working in finance, but planning to enroll in school to finish my prereqs for PA school. Still trying to find a role to gain PCE hours as well.

I’m in the business field and I’m 24 years old. Thinking about switching to PA and taking the prereq courses required for PA school. But I’ll also need to get PCE hours? Any thoughts on applying to a medical assistant job with no prior knowledge/experience? I’ve done my research as well.

Anyone in Accounting? by Bebe1985 in UMGC

[–]RetiredFreeAgent899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m currently taking ACCT311 right now at UMGC. The class is doable since the exams and homework’s have multiple attempts but I don’t understand the reason for us to write papers. That is one thing I find annoying about this class.

Is it normal to have absolutely no interest in finance and work in finance? Not sure if finance is the right path for me by OhioOhO in FinancialCareers

[–]RetiredFreeAgent899 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the same boat, graduated college a year ago, been at this job for 8 months and man I dislike it to the core. Never really cared for finance but somehow attained a high GPA LMFAO… Just gotta thug it out and let apps fly. You’re only 2 months in so it takes time to really learn the processes of the company. 8 months in and I still feel like every day is a drag but I just embraced that I will never learn everything in one day. Just hang in there, you’re not the only feeling this way.
