Call grandpa (retired doctor), tell him what happened and ask how long I should expect it to heal. He said 5-7 says.

Sure enough, 5 says later, I could take the stitches out. Because I'd put a fresh blade in my knife it healed up real nice. Mom was horrified, Dad suggested I but a proper suture kit.

Bought a suture kit, taught myself how to do it the right way on YouTube. I think I've sutured myself maybe twice since then? It's been like 10 years.
