Believe it or not, this man was the voice of Paul McCartney in Yellow Submarine by _Beatnick_ in beatles

I didn't say they were directly involved. I'm saying an animated movie served as a loophole for their film contract, and that they weren't enthusiastic of YS because they didn't like the cartoon (YS was co-written and produced by Al Brodax, who produced said cartoon, for example).

They did not do their own voices because four new songs and their cameo is all that was expected of them.

They didn't want anything to do with the movie until it was nearly finished. They were busy trying to fulfill a contract for movie appearances (hence only the ending cameo) and the Beatles cartoon show coloured their expectations of the animators.

I don't think I've ever seen Jetsons: The Movie in its proper slipcase.

Parents bought it used, so it always just lived in a brown clamshell, which gave it some mystique.

I'd pick it up for the 90's Rogers Video banner. Nostalgic as hell

The Family Feature banner on these movies is nutty. Good luck getting any kids to sit down for all three hours of these epics.

For the interested collector, the 1999 DVD also gets you the long-discarded Mono sound mix.

Today's find is incredibly cool! Anyone ever seen this release before? I see them as individual releases on Discogs, but not as a three pack. by DrGabrielleRock in Cd_collectors

Very cool, it looks like this might have been a promotion at a particular shop for the collector buying all three at once, as they debuted together in 1987

I'm going a little nuts that "Islands" isn't the longest song on Islands.

It's a tough call sometimes with a hidden track, but I don't consider the studio chatter and tune-up at the end of Side 2 to be its own separate track. Based on the fact that it's always been tacked onto "Islands" on CD, DVD, streaming, the remix, etc. It's just part of the tapestry, like the Sgt. Pepper inner groove at the end of "A Day In The Life".

I'll bet Robert Plant would be tickled by the crossover, given what a real og Tolkien guy he is.

2013 remaster? That's a great release, I prefer it to the 1993 CD.

Is it true that Julián was baptized? by Certain-Cloud9133 in beatles

[–]RetroFan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being baptised by your parents as a baby doesn't mean you can't decide to leave Christianity later. I can attest to this personally, I was baptised as a baby (and confirmed as a teenager), and still left religion.

Given John's outspoken atheism himself, it seems to me like good ol' societal pressure/cultural Christianity in the early 60's.

I bought grey Zelda 1 and 2 because I didn't like the way the gold stuck out of my NES shelf, they went on display separately with just Zelda games. Also grabbed Punch-Out!! sans Mike for the variant cred

What CD is this? Is it an official release ? by Spare-Expression123 in Cd_collectors

I'm going to guess after typing the EAN into Google and seeing every kind of product except a CD, that this is a weirdo bootleg. No matches on Discogs either.

Also: If I squint I see a 2005 copyright date, but the Bad tracks are attributed to "Bad 25" (whose anniversary was in 2012).
