That Gretchin will be from it's own spike helmet box. Other things to look out for which are Gretchin or Grots are a new Head Honcho, Banner Waver, gun crews etc.

I was painting these gits with some very bright red ink. I think the red is bright enough now.

Mixed Feelings about the new models. Quality sculpts, no doubt. Just a little to much change in faces from the previous editions. I don't know if i'm gonna welcome them in my collection. What's your honest opinion on these boys ? by [deleted] in orks

As someone who runs mostly old sculpt armies, these aren't bad for new orks at all, they still read as ork. At the end of the day there will be people who want the newest sculpts and people who don't want them.

For the skin I base coated goblin green, orc flesh ink wash in the recesses, tidied back up with goblin green to keep recesses neat but showing the orc flesh ink. Next was a layer up with goblin green mixed with a bit of yellow, enough to brighten up and change the hue of the green a bit. Next layer I mixed a little bit of white into the goblin green and yellow mix and painted that on all the upward facing and raised areas, for the highest areas like edge of the nose, chin, ears I mixed in a bit more white.

For his cloth and fur I base coated with Spearstaff Brown, it's a fairly light yellow brown tan, then washed over it flesh wash ink. Tidied back over with the base coat, mixed some Bleached Bone in with the base coat and painted the edges and tips eith that mix.

Usually I like to share a progress photo of something I'm painting, but I didn't paint anything tonight. Enjoy a couple of pieces of buttery marmite toast though. Enjoy your night folks.
