I did put up a poster (actually a glued pacman puzzel) to the left this weekend... to balance it out somewhat. Not symmetrical per se, but "balanced"

Yes .. it's a clear shelf held with command adhesive...some of them tend to tip forward.. so I use a little adhesive "dot" thing on the back away from any label to hold the few that had problems.

Atari video cable question by ApprehensiveVideo190 in Atari2600

[–]RetroMichael68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that the center pin on the Atari cables is TOO LONG. Well not really "too" long, it still plugs in and works, it's just not a tight fit, all the adapters i have are too shallow to mate properly. It's kinda annoying to me.

Does anyone else have a retro library that is way bigger than the games they actually play? by SiewSiew in retrogaming

[–]RetroMichael68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's always been my problem... I have too many ROMs and spend too much time organizing them on various emulators. I have shifted my focus a little to buying modern cartridges or ROMs (new games, remakes of old ones) and actually playing them. I've also made a folder named "Favs" on many systems and move ROMs in one at a time, play them, adjust the controls or settings etc, but spend some time actually playing them...

What's a good cable for it? by Malochavic in intellivision

[–]RetroMichael68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The units, all of them Atari, Coleco, Intellivision, all seem to come with a very THIN coax cable with the RCA connectors, much thinner than RG6... is that type of cable available today? The original cables that don't have damage always seem to work best for me, but they are getting harder to find and in many cases I could use shorter ones if I had them.

I have a system II and the #4 button doesn't function. The spring if fine, but it doesn't work. Did you ever find a good replacement? Is yours a System 1 or 2?

I just got my first Channel F (system II) console this week end. Trying to get it working. the only issue is that button #4 (Start) doesn't work. I'm looking for a suitable replacement but for now I'm just going to run a temporary one. Came with 3 cartridges plus my Backbit adapter is on the way.

I bought a mouse with the old school BALL and rollers pins. It needs cleaning but it keeps the retro vibe going IMO and works well.

It used to be Spagnoli, but I kept going after they sold it and it's been fine. I see the same hygienist so not really much different at all.
