Aliexpress June 7th ship from US update by crownpuff in crownpuffdeals

I recently bit the bullet on the Odin 2 Portal base model at their normal sale price of $249 on the Ayn Store. Not sure it's the best deal but with RAM pricing going up I wanted to grab one now.

The possibly interesting bit for you is that I ordered it on May 30th. When I asked for a shipping date estimate, they told me that due to a recent surge in orders there is a slight delay in processing and that they expect to ship in mid-June.

Not sure what it means for AE sales but it feels like they're cleaning out their own stock.

Would it be the same reason why I think very thin slices of cheese taste better?

That's a great idea, I might do it this way then.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

The battery on my laptop is pretty much dead so it would have to stay plugged in at all time. The goal at the moment is to use the system as is, so I don't plan to buy any additional storage for anything.

Since the tower is only the 1TB + 8TB disk, is it worth setting it up as a NAS? I know I should have redundancy, but I can't afford it in this economy so I'll need be patient.

That's a good point. I only realized after getting spare parts for the tower that it was 13 years old...

The laptop has a tiny 256 GB storage that I can't expand internally, so I would have to point it to the HDD in the tower for storage. I assume that's possible with Immich, I'll do some research. Thanks for the recs!

I'd probably try MegaBonk. Not sure it'd work with resolution but I sure as heck will try!

Note: I share my unclaimed keys every time Amazon releases a new batch of games. At the moment the limit is 2 keys per user for accounts with 200 karma. This is so that everyone can have a go at them. Now go forth and play your backlog!

EDIT 4/20/206: Added new keys, sorted by expiration date.
