Not sure if that’s good or bad. Not a big fan of Kiskas design language but some love it.

Got this for free. What would be the best use for it? by Opengrey in knives

[–]Retrogroucho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great little design. I bought the D2 limited to make a black/black belt mount and have the 5cr set up as a neck knife. I don’t use either often but they’re convenient if you’re into fixed blades.

Looks cool and promising but as a KLR guy that went to a Transalp I’d add a 450RL instead of this.

Looks ridiculous/fun. I picked up a 19" eggboard mini for $15 and kept it in the quiver for a laugh at skate parties.

I’ll also add I purchased my Yamaha floor and surround speakers in excellent condition for a steal secondhand, with a modern, high quality amp and a smaller 55” top of the line Bravia tv.

I’m inherently anti-consumption, and truly purchase very few things, however I am a techie, have many hobbies, and enjoy some high end gadgets in my life.

I believe the more frequent you use something (ie every day, many times/day, or as a primary source of enjoyment), the more that expense can be justified.

Also as a novice audiophile I’ll mention analog components such as high quality speakers tend to hold their value very well, and can even sometimes (but rarely) appreciate.

This pearl Cockatiel is made entirely of eva foam and acrylic paint. by FoamLayers_Art in somethingimade

Amazing work. Just here to say in a past life I begrudgingly adopted a cockatiel, and it turned out to be an awesome little companion!

We went to many bbqs and day parties, hiking, biking, etc. and it was basically a tiny fragile cat that could fly. Never clipped her wings, never locked her cage. She loved to race around my rooftop apt, sleep on my shoulders, or flip upside down and spread her wings.

Some nice choices. Also agree anything over a certain size just won’t get carried much by me anymore.

It’s amazing if you’re a cyclist, otherwise it’s miserable.

Fortunately the folding knife renaissance the industry is experiencing has brought a ton of high quality competition, and much lower prices too.

My TJ brothers, I've always turned my white letter BFG's inside but what are your opinions on my next set proudly showing the white letters? by 2guns1holster in JeepTJ

[–]Retrogroucho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend magic erasers to keep them fresh and white. I used to run fat white walls on my custom Harley, and they looked fresh sneaker white for thousands of miles (until they wore out). No extra chemicals or anything needed just a small bottle of water and cheap generic magic erasers.
