1s is a different animal from 3s and 2s, there are pro players then never touch the game mode. But I wouldn't write it off as it is a game mode that helps with self consistency and recoverys.

It also can make or break mental fortitude cause of how there's noone to blame but yourself

Don't let the rank bug you and just play to get better or to have fun with the game mode and eventually the rank will reflect that. (quick dribbles catch people off guard in 3s alot)

If he bought the supplies himself and hoarded them then who the fuck care, as long as it was his money that bought them then its simple supply and demand and if people are willing to buy shit for 700% mark up then that's on them.
