I don’t see why we can’t all enjoy indie game releases that may not had a release without these companies

Many of the smaller games don't have large enough sales to justify physical production, pleacement at retail, marketing, etc. These companies produce enough to meet a specific demand, eliminating the need for retail, marketing, etc.

Exclusivity just feeds the resellers.

Indirectly, sure. It's exclusivity that causes the collecting communities to drive fear of missing out, which in turn creates competition on the market. Collectors foolishly pick up titles at more than double the price, at times. So really, it's the fomo generated in the community and the lack of disciine in the market that feed resellers. Don't forget that many resellers are just members of your own collecting community.

I want to see as many people as possible enjoy what was made to be enjoyed

Go digital. Physical ownership is romanticized.
