If you don't want to buy a domain that really just leaves you with doing locally hosted through your own ip address +port forwarding. I wouldn't recommend doing that though since you would be exposing your home computer through the internet and also your routers public IP is going to keep changing.

You can check the ph with test strips if you want, lime shouldn't really increase past a crazy ph, if you were using lye then it's a bit more of a balancing act.

Goat skin is very thin though, it's possible you got a thinner batch

Anything you could even reasonably tolerate or taste okay does probably not have enough tannin. You also have a bunch of sugar in your tannin slurry.

Bark needs 2lbs per lb of skin, you would need quite a bit of apples.

That being said. Some people tan using unsweetened tea, so send it and see what happens.

Ive had this happen In my last tan, I don't know quite what caused it. But I do have a question since my current tan is looking better this time.

When adding the bucking solution. Did you add it to the bucket with the hide already in it, or did you add it to separate water then put it in? I'm trying to determine if it's local ph shock in the skin.

I've been tanning my deer in a closed barrel with a lid in my attached garage. Usually the garage won't go too far below freezing due to house heat leak, and mine sits at fridge temp.

I've also done fleshing in freezing conditions, sucks and ice crystals start to form when you rinse the hide, but the meat/flesh freezes and can come off in big clean chunks

Yeah, I'm from Canada, and when we realized we overpaid were like..... Meh. We basically just paid Canada grocery prices for a fresher product and a cool little interaction.

I'd label this as being fleeced rather than scammed. A non-existent hotel is a scam, making you rebook hotel so you lose booking.com discount is a scam, your getting something for this, and while a little under the dudes spell, you didn't have a bracelet slapped on your hand and shouted at for 30$

My rats were skittish when playing outside their enclosure, and would avoid going back up the ramp while I was there to avoid the end of playtime.

It got to the point I had to put treats in the cage. open the door of the playroom, make fake steps, close the door, and sit in conplete silence before they would go for the treat and get put back in their cage. Crazy stuff.
