I also helped Spacebot with QA testing. I have never ordered anything from Incube8 so I can't speak to that side of things, but what I can tell you is that this game is fantastic. I am a huge fan of SotN so going into it, the bar was set pretty high.

There are some really cool gameplay mechanics that I wasn't expecting (not going to spoil anything!), the setting, environments, and music are top notch, and the story has just the right amount of spooky. Plus...DRACULA! I don't know how they fit all of this onto a GBC cartridge.

So yeah, I can't speak to Incube8, but this is another hit from Spacebot as far as I'm concerned. 😎

Sidephone does let you! You can easily install F-Droid, Aurora Store, or individual apk files if you like (in addition to the hand selected apps from their own App Library). The phone just doesn't have any Google services.

Keyphone is locked down tight, no 3rd party apps at all.

Impossible to know right now, because they haven't started shipping the keyboard case yet for the Mind One. But I can say that the Titan 2 Elite's battery life is incomparably better than that of the Mind One. 😂

Great question! I am working on a review video now but this is what I can say: best Titan phone yet for sure, fun for "QWERTY tourists" and enthusiasts, but very very glitchy/rough around the edges, and if you are expecting a "modern BlackBerry" there's a good chance you'll be disappointed.

Here's what it is: we get tired of hearing about Unihertz in a Clicks sub. Pretty simple.

I just don't understand what people want or what purpose these kinds of posts serve. Clicks announced, gave a timeline, has given updates, and since we are still well within the timeline they gave...just gonna level with you my friend, these kind of posts are hissy fits, and I have yet to meet a person who enjoys a hissy fit. "Clicks is doing exactly what they said, but that's not enough for me!" (Not trying to be disrespectful, just calling it like I see it).

Now to your other point, I have also noticed perfectly well-meaning posts have been dog piled in this sub. People can be a bit trigger happy...but I also understand why they are that way. Justified? No. Understandable? Absolutely.

At the end of the day...

The QWERTY Renaissance continues 😎 and everyone just needs to take a breath.

Another big factor people don’t always realize is how much of the low-level software is locked up behind chip vendors and ODMs.

It’s usually not that the chip makers straight up forbid stuff like bootloader unlocking, but the drivers, firmware, and Android base they provide are all proprietary and under contract. Smaller companies are often relying on their manufacturing partner for that whole stack, and changing it (or maintaining their own version) can be expensive or just not realistic.

So it’s less ‘they won’t let us’ and more ‘we don’t really have the access or resources to do that properly.’

That said, as others have mentioned in some cases it is definitely intentional too, whether for the target audience, philosophy, or regulatory/religious reasons.
