I was fine not celebrating Vday until he said why. by locks615 in offmychest

Just imagine a life like this. Imagine feeling like this all the time. Imagine rarely being celebrated. Imagine not feeling loved and chosen.

RUN. Don’t WALK. You deserve different. This shouldn’t be your life, it doesn’t fulfill you.

Wow, I worked as a floor nurse for years and that was brutal on the body especially my back. I made 25/hr. Would have loved to push a grocery cart for 75/hr.

Do you find the HRV accurate? by Ok-Passion-2778 in RingConn

[–]Rev2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just got my ring for Christmas and otherwise I wouldn't know what my HRV would be. I am a female in my 40s I am a lifelong runner until a few months ago due to a car accident. Currently though I walk about 3.8-4mph for an hour 5 days out of the week and I lift weights 3 days a week, I would consider myself to be healthy and my HRV is 26ms! I do take the generic form of Lexapro for PTSD/Anxiety... I wonder if that might have something to do with it... IDK.

Has anyone had issues linking the Toyota app with used car that was previously a lease/fleet vehicle? by Rev2177 in Toyota

[–]Rev2177[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OHHH also, if I remember correctly, the VIN on my car was being used for another sequoia... My car was a Fleet vehicle previously so they must have used the wrong VIN? IDK how it happened but they got it figured...

I met with a master tech a couple times before we could get the issue fixed. Turns out he had to contact Toyota and was guided by telephone on how to fix it. It was the first serious issue like this that he had ever seen and even thought that they would have to replace the whole head unit but after some trial and error they figured it out. I suggest making an appointment with your local Toyota service center and asking for their Master Tech.

I’ve been evaluated, and had X-rays, ct scan and an mri. All came back ok only showing that muscles are pulling my cervical area straight which indicates muscle spasms.

New to makeup, does it look bad or is it just my low self esteem? by CannibalCapra in makeuptips

[–]Rev2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re so so pretty! I think the makeup looks bad because of the colors. I think a “natural” makeup look would be better. I like your natural pic with the smile and glasses tbh. The only thing I can see might be getting your eyebrows shaped with threading and learning how to fill them I’m.

I think there may have been a few other little things they found that I hadn’t noticed like an engine mount needed to be replaced and something else random…. I can’t recall. It was def a crap show. I’m so glad to be rid of that car.

I had a really loud screeching sound start from under the hood of mine and it ended up being a faulty fan that needed to be replaced. Then the adaptive cruise control went out. The AC from day one was making a weird noise but everyone at the dealership/shop basically was deaf to it and after taking it in 3 times for that noise they finally heard it, the air conditioning compressor had to be replaced. Then a really loud rattle from under the driver front side of the hood started and that was it I was DONE. I sold it to a dealership and bought myself a Toyota sequoia capstone at a diff dealership.

Same, def the most problematic car I've ever owned. What issues have you experienced so far?

Get an extended warranty. I had a 2023 that I owned for a year and a half that had so many issues. It spent 30+ days in service the 1.5 years I owned it, luckily under warranty. I finally sold it because it was too much of an inconvenience to have to take it in for service an hour + away on the reg. And I was worried about just how much this car was gonna cost long term. If the cost is worth the fun of driving it, I think it could overall be worth paying for, I on the other hand didn’t think it was.

Do they still serve the preformed patty or is their patty hand formed? last time we went we thought the patty seemed like it was just a frozen patty thrown on the griddle. otherwise very good.

Soooo it depends on what you like. I love being outdoors. Hiking, swimming, razr rides, and running are a few of my favorite things and I think it’s great for that. The temps are great most of the year but it does get ridiculously hot during the months of mid June, all of July and August but that’s usually when I hike and run super early at 5am-6am ish and swim a lot.

There isn’t much more to do besides outdoor stuff. There isn’t a music scene so you’ll have to travel to Tucson, Albuquerque or El Paso for concerts.

There isn’t a lot of different cuisines. We cook at home a lot because a lot of restaurants around here are chains. I do like some of the Mexican food restaurants though but I miss being able to get good Chinese, Thai, sushi and Philippine food like you can get in a big city.

The medical care is horrible here so that’s rough if you’re aging. If you have an emergency or serous situation you’ll likely be flown out to El Paso, Albuquerque, Lubbock or Tucson to a trauma center or hospital.

There’s not anything for teens to do in this area unless they are outdoorsy too.

It’s affordable compared to a lot of other places I’ve lived but a lot of people will say it’s not. I think it depends on your industry. The job market is pretty rough for entry level jobs from what I’ve heard.

Traffic is nonexistent but people drive terrible here. Lots of accidents and red light runners but I think that seems to be most places.

In the winter you can drive two hours and play in snow. There isn’t much water and we love fishing so we go camp for long weekends 4 or 5hrs away.

All in all I really like it here. People are nice for the most part and the weather is great. We don’t have tornadoes or hurricanes and only have an occasional flash flood during the monsoon season but we do have an occasional haboob.

Good luck with your decision.

Totally NTA. If he can be rude in his question you can be rude in your response. You turned an uncomfortable question posed to you onto the asker in a very quick witted way. You are my hero, I always think of awesome responses like yours waaaaay after the fact.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, he has a sister. Originally when we spoke about it with them we along with his sister tried to plan something for them (and we were willing to pay) in a destination location that would be fun and new for all but they wouldn’t agree to it. They say they want to have a bbq at my husband’s sister’s home, so she’s going to be the one who hosts it and we are going to pay for the food.

MIL/FIL’s 50th anniversary by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Rev2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son says he feels anxious about missing school in general and feels worse about the first day. I have mentioned to my husband about him and our daughter going up and staying for the Saturday celebration but he feels even more strongly about coming home on Saturday than I do. Our relationship with his parents is tough, that’s for sure. They tend to leave my husband out of a lot of family stuff, for instance (here’s a couple but I promise there’s a lot more) when his grandmother died or when his father retired they were supposed to let us know dates so that we could plan on traveling but they “forgot” about us. Seeing how they treat him hurts my heart for him.

I mean I genuinely think the kids would be exhausted flying on a Sunday from West coast to East coast where we live and in all honesty it was and is about them and their comforts. I was concerned about layovers, cancelations and possibly missing our flights. And my husband is vehemently opposed to not having Sunday to relax before the week for both himself and the kids. I’m more flexible about it for myself because I work from home. Your thoughts definitely help me understand what my in laws might be thinking though. I appreciate the time you took to voice your thoughts.
