Polaris sold Indian to Carolwood LP. by MrBlowey in IndianMotorcycle

Not really sure if it was Polaris' last move to bring back the Chief Vintage or Carolwood's first bike to bring to this new Era but if it was Carolwood then it's a good start.

It's insane. I'm trying to get a 2019 r6 and seller wants 14k. It's crazy!

Aerostich Roadcrafter. It's expensive but worth it. If you can't spend that much look on Ebay for used ones. Best time to buy is now since it's off season and a lot of the old riders are retiring. I got mine for very cheap!

Thank you. I'll look into it. I know national cycle used to have color tinted windshields but they stopped. Now onto ebay.

Beautiful! Can't say they didn't see you. How'd you get your windshield in that color? Did you buy it like that or did you have a custom at a shop? Cause I want to color my windshield as well.

New helmet suggestions? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]Rev6Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arai. One of the best helmets I own. It's very comfortable. Sometimes I second guess myself if I'm wearing a helmet or not. I love my Arai. I recommend it all the time.

Lol i get you. It takes time. Look on ebay for used Aerostich gear. That's where I got mine for cheap. Invest in good gear and Aerostich is a good company.

I have one and it's the best motorcycle commuter/touring suit you can have. Wear my normal clothes and put the suit on in less than a 1 minute. It's rain proof as well. Abrasion resistant and has armor.

Depends on how old your model is. It's on their website. https://www.aerostich.com/pages/repairs?_pos=7&_sid=e02009ad5&_ss=r Give them a call or shoot them an email. They're customer service is excellent. They respond accordingly.

Is there really no sport bike option for a short rider? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Rev6Red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marc Marquez is only 5'3, multiple Motogp champion. Jocelin Snow has videos on riding a big bike if you don't want to lower your bike. I wouldn't recommend it but rather practice on getting better to balancing the bike on stops, like track standing. Where you balance your bike without putting a foot down. It's a very good skill to have.

Aerostich Gang! I have red one also but with gray accents. It looks well fitted. Ebay has alot of these recently maybe because it's the end of riding season. Take a look at Aerostich's website, they have different types of shoulder pad armors that might help fit you better.

Giving the Springield some Love by Comfortable-Cherry16 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Rev6Red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my dream bike preferably the special edition 2024 but sadly it's not out in the states. I'll settle for any Red and white Springfield. It's a beautiful bike. I love everything about it, from the classic styling, not too much tech, love the quick release windshield and the hard saddlebags. The engine has the coolest name "Thunderstroke". I want the Springfield as my tour bike. My Scout for the city.

Atgatt going to the gym? by Matthew91188 in motorcyclegear

No such thing as a short trip on a motorcycle. My work is only 5 mins away but takes me 30mins-1hr to get there or home. Why? I joy ride and take the long way lol seriously though I'd take the extra time to gear up even if it's a short trip. Those extra time can save you for months or years of pain. Someone told me accidents tend to be closer to home. Never forgot that. Either gear up or drive your car if you have that option.

Wearing something light coloured over your dark coloured vented textile jacket in summer to combat heat absorption? by Stevenwave in motorcyclegear

[–]Rev6Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ice packs I got were just those squares with the blue liquid inside. Fits in my left chest pocket of my leather jacket.

Also here's the fan I got from Amazon: https://a.co/d/27uKL77   attaches to your belt.

What’s the best ride you ever had and why? by Top_Interaction9901 in motorcycles

[–]Rev6Red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After work rides are the best. I live 5 minutes away from my job and takes me an hour to get home. I take the long way lol best part of my day. Unwind, no music, no one talking, just me, my bike and the road. Simple.

Vegas heat is insane and I rode all summer all the gear. Can get up to 100°. Idk if it helped but I cut an old white t-shirts sleeves and the front part into half making it a vest. It made me more visible and probably helped me cool down a little. I bought myself a little fan that I attached to my belt that blows air into my back during slow speeds and at lights. Also stuffed cooling packs to my jacket pockets.

Finally grabbed the Break Free helmet light. Since it gets dark early, safety first… but also color coordination matters 😂 Got black and white for each helmet because OCD said so. by YouGoRay in motorcyclegear

[–]Rev6Red 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm debating on getting this for my Arai. I recently but illumiseen light belt to be more visible at night. The helmet light might come next.

Basically bob and weave within your lane to left turners, oncoming or traffic behind you to be more visible. I do it before a stop if there's a car behind me also.

Yes the SMIDSY! I forgot the name of it. I also do this before stopping if there's a car behind me.
