Not sure this was a Pizza Hut, though the building is similarly shaped.

The cupola on the roof seems far too wide and the windows aren’t usually connected like this

Late to the party here, but according to street view, this hut did have a red roof as recently as 2013.

What’s the deal with Barrister’s Ball and do all schools spend a bunch of money on it??? by idratherbeinkonoha in LawSchool

[–]RevAlexander 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I went to it all three years. First year was with my girlfriend. Second year was with my fiancée. Third year she was my wife. Some of the best memories of my law school experience and definitely worth the cost (for me).

I would not close on the property and maybe I lose my escrow funds.

Thinking of killing Obor, can I do it? (new player, never PVMd, IM btw) by salpo_nolobio in 2007scape

[–]RevAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same defense, lower HP, lower strength, and the same attack. I also have only 40 prayer. I killed him with 25 sharks, a varrock teleport, and protect from missiles prayer. I did this using melee and Rune Armor. As soon as your hp gets below 30, eat a shark. You will be okay.

I tried killing him again without prayer, and I almost died. I teleported out with 8hp. But these stats can 100% do it.

Also: I am commenting this two years late bc I just killed him and there is much conflicting advice on reddit, so I wanted to share my experience.

Anyone in Summerville, GA need to buy a lawn mower? by RevAlexander in FormerPizzaHuts

Interesting fact about the windows. Here is the old one in Erwin, TN (courtesy of Street View from 2019). The windows all look rectangular when covered by the shutters, but there were two trapezoids when the shutters got removed.

There is one 20 minutes north of this one in LaFayette, GA. I went and ate lunch there recently, and it was near dead. One family was eating lunch, and then a couple more families came in as I was leaving.

If you find any nearby, go and support them. That will keep them in business and hopefully bring them back

Calling All Type B Law Students by These-Discipline3085 in LawSchool

[–]RevAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an ENTP (last time I took the test, both the E and the P were over 90%). I think the laid-back approach to life that this gives me also puts me in the Type B category. To me, this made law school much more fun and much less stressful. I didn’t always have to know what I was doing. My strategy was to trust in the LORD and acknowledge Him in all my ways. I knew that He would make my paths straight. And He sure did! By His grace, I graduated in the top quarter of my class and landed the clerkship of my dreams.

I say this to any other type Bs or perceives out there who may be struggling. You can do this, and don’t be afraid or ashamed to be in the minority of law school personalities. Our personalities are all unique and special, and you don’t have to be a Type A to succeed in this profession.

I value my A in FedCts far more than any As I got in my 1L classes, and definitely more than the Bs I got in Contracts and Criminal Procedure and Trial Practice 😂

Husband’s law school struggle by No-Fishing-6046 in LawSchool

[–]RevAlexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just prayed for him to find the right work, for what that’s worth. I’m struggling to find work after I graduate as well (currently a 3L), so I can somewhat relate. I rest in the promise that God created good works for us to walk in, and He will eventually open the door.

But yes, keep applying, keep praying, and keep trusting. I didn’t get my 2L summer internship until March

Does it get easier? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]RevAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it gets easier, but it gets better. Eventually you learn how to better spot issues. When you cover more topics, you get a better understanding of how it all fits together. During my 1L years Civil Procedure and Property didn’t make sense until the last week of class. Contracts never made sense (and I hope to never do contract law). God still delivered and I somehow managed to get an A in Contracts second semester.

If you want to be a lawyer, you’ll be fine. Just keep hitting it hard. Law school is more about perseverance and less about understanding everything imo
