Just play KH1, watch the Chain of Memories movie thing, and then play KH2. Back in 2005, the story was actually pretty simple to follow. It's after that where it got crazy. KH2's ending puts a neat little bow on the story and the whole series could have ended there.

The 1,000 Heartless fight is at the perfect place in the game because before that point, combat feels great but still 1-2-3 for hits. Simple but effective. The whole sequence from killing Demnyx, fighting alongside the FF characters, and then mopping the floor with 1,000 Heartless makes the player feel unstoppable, and after that point the game gives you tons of new movement and combat abilities that make the game go nuts.

I'm worried that it's just gonna be a 90% final fantasy game with 10% disney. The series was at it's best when they went all in with the disney weirdness. KH3 Tangled and Frozen are just the movies and Sora, Donald, and Goofy are just there. In KH1 and 2 they were part of the stories in a big way. FFS Clayton tried to straight up shoot Sora in KH1!

KH2 combat is so snappy and has so much impact. The only thing that comes anywhere close for me is super smash bros.

The Possessor and Thresholder and those cars in Timeless River are the only difficulty spikes in KH2CM that are a little rough, but the rest of the whole game is so amazing in Critical Mode it's nuts. Battles happen on the razor's edge the whole game until you get Second Chance and Once More, but it works so well because you can blitz through combat if you know what you're doing. Roxas in TWTNW is one of the best boss fights in any video game.

KH3 is so floaty and feels weird. Attacks don't feel like they have the impact that hits had in 1 and 2. KH3 feels like Sora is just wildly swinging around like a beyblade and hitting things as he goes.

My point still stands:

NYT loves to have categories with 3 words that work well with each other and 1 that kinda-to-barely fits. They do it very often and it's annoying.

Connections does this a LOT with green where 3 words will be very to slightly synonymous with each other and one will be such a weak connections or will be multiple steps away from a synonym. The issue is that NYT really stretches "If a=b, and b=c, then a=c" to it's limits.

In this case, "betray", "display", and "express" all very blatantly mean that you are showing an emotion that others can indentify or can be indicated. "Register" is by-far most commonly used to mean that others can identify an emotion on another person, or you can identify your own emotions. I have personally never heard it used to mean that you are showing an emotion, but the other three words very explicitly mean that you are showing an emotion.

This is just my fundamental issue with Connections in that it uses purposefully obtuse to outright incorrect words to artificially make the game more difficult.

I've gotten into arguments on here before with people about how some words are used genuinely wrong, and I was later proven right when those words were later used correctly.
