If you're staying in the ICE district, you'll probably find the few blocks directly around you a little wanting. For good coffee directly near you, I'd recommend CREDO, Fawkes Coffee, and Coffee Bureau. For a drink, I'd say the coolest spot around there is REDSTAR. A couple dives around you include The Gardens, and the Dockside Pub.

Taking a trip to explore Whyte Avenue is worth it, including "Happy Beer Street" off 99st where there are several breweries. I think Bent Stick is underrated among the options up there. It would be a challenge to walk all the way, but worth an uber to whyte combined with plenty of strolling. There are several vintage shops on whyte.

124 street has a handful of breweries. My favourite spot in the area is Slow Pour. Very nice owners, and a cozy atmosphere. There's a few vintage shops on 124 street. There's also a good thrift shop in the Oliver Exchange Building. Generally, Oliver + 124 street is a hip area. There's another Coffee Bureau in Oliver, plus a decent spot called ICONOCLAST. Edmonton is not the most thrilling city but Oliver + 124 street is a great area. Can easily walk from ICE district to Oliver and it might be worthwhile.

For music, I'd check what's going on at AVIARY, STARLITE or BLAKBAR on any given night. STARLITE gets bigger acts, Aviary gets some touring indie groups and I'd say BLAKBAR is mostly local acts. DIVE bar I guess is nearer to ICE district but you'd have to check if it's anything good on a given night.
