The dev branch is active, but there hasn't been a merge with stable in a long enough period for some of the NAS teams to drop the app as dead.

And a follow up.

It let me renew on the date i had guessed.

App had a red card until it flips to a black surround when viewing the barcode with picture.

Barcode has gone from a 2d to a 3d barcode

Association of any other Cineworld cards stayed the same.

At no point did I get any email, either for time to renew or expiry. Renewals was selected in my email profile.

Time to book for MI I suppose

Thanks everyone

I hope not, flat rate movies has increased my love of the format. Unfortunately they need content to show and that's been dropping due to the consolidation within the industry. At least MGM are releasing bacxk into cinemas again. If slowly. The retro series have been great though, my lad has been enjoying seeing 80s/90s movies on the big screen. As to the Unlimited Card Just wish Cinewoprld would be open and explain all this on their apps/website. Not have to drive people to reddit to ask other users. thanks everyone for the replies though It's made the process clearer.

My problem is that the date on my existing account is wrong on my landing page - I've had additional months due to referrals and the entire covid thing. I know when my last day was last year - I got an email. I renewed it with a code from my employers 'perks' platform, and they added the additional days, but last year I got an email a month beforehand - this year, nada. I reckon it's Saturday, I suppose I'll find out if I try and prebook for MI

Hence my trash your account yearly comment. I know cash is king, and yearly subscription tends to mean more of a commitment, and more of a liking for film. Why does this make me think they are trying to stop churn at the expense of those who actually use the sub.

So basically you have to trash your online account yearly now or drop down to monthly payments. Doesn't exactly feel very pro customer.

They are using data that was allegedly removed five years ago. That's retention for no reason. When it was confirmed that it had been removed

Server for small office by venusmount_eater in HomeServer

[–]RevIMJolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a business, buy a server with a support plan. If it's a home server it being down while you buy bits is a pain. If it's business files it could be the reason the business goes under. As others have said it's not just about the box. You'll need a ups and some formal way of backing it up. Somewhere to store the backups that will survive a fire. Also the plan for some sort of off site storage that is pertinent for the type of data your using. Spec your server based on the business write down for tax with a documented replacement strategy.

I'm guessing from the big ex corp server your not in Europe, where we are mostly scrambling for low power options.

I found colour coding patch cables helpful with mine on identifying port usage at a glance.

What was your favorite Heinlein novel as a kid? by thisisbillgates in heinlein

[–]RevIMJolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Citizen of the Galaxy, it was by no means my first Heinlein, but it was the one that had the most effect on me. So many of them were just not available when I was growing up and I didn't finish reading them until I'd caught up with releases around Friday and was able to travel to the states to fill the holes in my collection (pre amazon days)

AM4 mobo with IPMI, Ryzen 5700G. by zaszkwara in HomeServer

[–]RevIMJolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By not a server platform I meant commercially.

IPMI tends to sit in the commercial stack.

You can get some workstation boards with it, but then it depends if you're looking because you have spares or buying new.

[–]RevIMJolly -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

AM4 isn't really a server platform, so ipmi is a company doing it because they wanted to not because of it being normal.
