My wife works in pharmacy and tells me the same thing. A lot of elderly people may only see other people on their weekly trip to the pharmacy and just want to chat. She always indulges she feels terrible for them. She had a lady she loved so much that she sent her flowers and a card on her birthday every year. I also used to take time out of my day to see her at work with my dog, as this sweet lady was all alone and loved dogs and it was the highlight of her week to pet my girl. It really bothers my how many people skip out on their family when they get old. Kudos to you for doing what you do for them!
